I created and produced this short video on the Guyana rainforest and the Amerindian indigenous people living there. This is based on my visit with my 14-yr old son and others committed to education, eco-tourism and preservation of this tropical rainforest region. It is so important to educate the world about the beauty of people and place in the Amazon regions of South America. These ecosystems are constantly threatened with destruction through activities such as mining and deforestation. If we lose more of the Amazon rainforest, not only will this displace tens of thousands of peaceful indian people from their forest homes and force them into urban poverty within cities and destroy countless unique species dependent on this environment, but the entire world will suffer from the negative impacts as the Amazon forests are the lungs of our beloved Mother Earth.
