Gibraltar ( /dʒɨˈbrɒltər/) is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean. It has an area of 6.8 square kilometres (2.6 sq mi) and a northern border with Andalusia, Spain. The Rock of Gibraltar is the major landmark of the region. At its foot is the densely populated city area, home to almost 30,000 Gibraltarians and other nationalities.

An Anglo-Dutch force captured Gibraltar from Spain in 1704 during the War of the Spanish Succession. The territory was subsequently ceded to Britain "in perpetuity" under the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713. It was an important base for the Royal Navy; today its economy is based largely on tourism, financial services, and shipping.

The sovereignty of Gibraltar is a major point of contention in Anglo-Spanish relations as Spain asserts a claim to the territory. Gibraltarians rejected proposals for Spanish sovereignty in a 1967 referendum and again in 2002. Under the Gibraltar constitution of 2006, Gibraltar governs its own affairs, though some powers, such as defence and foreign relations, remain the responsibility of the UK Government.

Ana Pastor García (December 9, 1977 in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish journalist and anchorwoman.

Has a degree in journalism from Universidad CEU San Pablo, and developed her journalistic career by working for print press, television, RNE and EFE.

In 1999, Ana Pastor started to work for the radio station Cadena SER with Iñaki Gabilondo, covering international affairs. She was international correspondent in Southern Asia and reported about the tsunami tragedy, the London Bombings in England and many other countries in conflict.

Pastor also directed and hosted the weekly TV-Program Punto de fuga where she interviewed several politicians like Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf (president of Liberia) or the former president of Ireland and Premio Principe de Asturias's winner Mary Robinson.

Since 2006, she has worked for TVE where she began by hosting the discussion programme 59 Segundos. She considers herself a moderate person by allowing interviewees have their say.

Since 2009 she has been Pepa Bueno's substitute in Los desayunos de TVE. Other TV-Programmes she works in are Informe semanal along with other journalists and the RNE's Asuntos propios hosted by Toni Garrido.

Tristram Julian William Hunt FRHistS (born 31 May 1974) is a British Labour Party politician, activist, historian, broadcaster and newspaper columnist, who is currently the Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent Central. He also teaches and lectures on Modern British History at Queen Mary, University of London in Mile End, East London. He has written several books and appeared as broadcaster for history programmes on television. Hunt is a regular writer for The Guardian and The Observer.

Hunt is a member of the Labour Party, and after supporting the party as an activist for several years and working as a member of the party's staff, he entered the political arena professionally, becoming an MP at the 2010 general election.

Hunt is the son of Julian Hunt, a meteorologist and leader of the Labour Group on Cambridge City Council in 1972-3, who was made a Life Peer of the British Labour Party at the request of Tony Blair in 2000. After attending University College School and Westminster School, both in London, Tristram Hunt read History at Trinity College, Cambridge and the University of Chicago, and was for a time an Associate Fellow of the Centre for History and Economics at King's College, Cambridge. His PhD, Civic thought in Britain, c.1820– c.1860, was taken at Cambridge and was awarded in 2000.

Bronwen Maddox (born 1963) is a British-American journalist. She is the daughter of the Welsh science writer Sir John Maddox and the journalist and biographer Brenda Maddox.

Maddox was born in New York City in the United States, on 7th May, 1963.

Maddox was educated in the United Kingdom, at St Paul's Girls' School, a day independent school in Hammersmith in West London, followed by St John's College at the University of Oxford in the City of Oxford, where she read PPE.

Maddox was a director of Kleinwort Benson Securities' media investment team from 1986 to 1991.

Joining the Financial Times newspaper, Maddox headed an investigation into the publisher Robert Maxwell. Later, she moved to The Times newspaper, to be its Washington Bureau Chief and US Editor, and was then its Foreign Editor. Maddox's last position at The Times was Chief Foreign Commentator. At the end of October 2010, she left the paper to become the editor and chief executive of Prospect magazine. She is a Governor of the Ditchley Foundation for transatlantic debate.
