Golok tradition of writing Tibetan comes from Berotsana
Golok Tharlak is one of the cradles of Tibetan written language. Vairotsana or Berotsana, the greatest of all Tibetan lotsawas, stayed their in the small village Dernang, and teached for years how to write sacred buddhist scripts in Tibetan language, in very special Uchen scripture, that stayed secret for thousand years. Vairotsana was sent to India by Trisong Detsen to study with Indian panditas. He was one of the original seven monks ordained by Shantarakshita. After returning to Tibet, he came in Lhasa, and soon was eventually sent into exile in East Tibet; there he taught Yudra Nyingpo, Sangtön Yeshe Lama, and the old man, Mipham Gönpo before Trisong Detsen recalled him to Lhasa. Together with Padmasambhava and Vimalamitra, he was one of the three main masters to bring the Dzogchen teachings to Tibet. In realization, Vairotsana became equal to Guru Rinpoche.- published: 05 Feb 2014

Testimonial Wangdu: Rishi story
Wangdu was a close friend of 2nd Degyal Rinpoche, Shiva Rinpoche's father. He tells an amazing story of a protector appearing and to open a hidden land with termas. Degyal Rinpoche is a tulku of Berotsana. Shiva Rinpoche is a tulku of Yudra Nyingpo. Both were teacher and disciple in the days of Guru Rinpoche, and received teachings from him too. http://www.shiva-rinpoche.com- published: 14 Sep 2013
