Don Lemon Drops Multiple N-Bombs in Critique of African American Community
he genesis of the ongoing feud between Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett and CNN anchor Don Lemon was Lemon's audacious expression of an opinion on the Michael Dunn "loud music" trial: namely that there ought to be a "Mind your business law," and that Michael Dunn should have followed it. Lemon echoed that sentiment when he tweeted, in response to Jarrett's criticism, to "Mind your business, old man." Lemon knows a thing or two about minding his own business. In case you missed it, Don Lemon told CNN's audience that he was "pissed" at the Michael Dunn jury's inability to render a verdict on the charge of first degree murder in the killing of Jordan Davis, as they were still deliberating. Gregg Jarrett fired off a series of critical tweets at Lemon, and later explained to Megyn Kelly the role of a news anchor, which is apparently to accuse other news anchors of trying to inciting riots. Lemon tweeted at Jarrett to "Mind your business, old man," and Jarrett went on the radio to agree that Lemon was using racial code words, while also accusing Lemon of being "racially agitated."- published: 18 Feb 2014

African-American Girl Faces Expulsion Over Natural Hair
A private christian school has threatened to expel 12-year-old Vanessa Van Dyke for wearing a natural hairstyle. Apparently her hairstyle is a "distraction," as such, she has been asked to straighten her hair or face being kicked out of the school she has attended since the third grade. Yep, no love for Afros in mainstream America.- published: 26 Nov 2013

NYPD Assault on African American Citizens Caught On Camera
NYPD Assault on African American Citizens Caught On Camera
If you like to read "Legal Fictions" you should read the criminal complaint filed against me in this matter by NYPD Officer Rojas and the Kings County District Attorney, Kenneth Thompson. It's not very creative, but it is very interesting. This case in on in part AP-2 in the Kings County Criminal Court, located at 120 Schermerhon Street in downtown Brooklyn on April 1, 2014. (And no, this isn't an April's fool gag.) Recording While Black and Contempt of Cop are not crimes just yet, but I think NYC Politicians are working on it, because Photography Is Not A Crime unless you are photography the Cops of course. Yet the Department of Justice sees no reason to intervene. Visit http://themarginalzone.wordpress.com for updates on this case and others. Here is what Police Officer Efrain Rojas Shield No. 23404, says happened: Deponent states that, at the above time and place, inside of a Transit Station on the 3 and 4 platform train, which was public, deponent was issuing a lawful summons to an individual and that deponent observed defendant in very close proximity to the deponent and deponent's partner while issuing the summons and that deponent continued to repeatedly ask defendant to step back and that defendant repeatedly refused to do so. Deponent further requested the defendant to leave said train station and defendant refused to do so, deponent escorted defendant out the above mentioned location and informed defendant that defendant can not come back into said station, defendant continued to film deponent and closely follow deponent back into said train station. Deponent further states that, at the above time and place, defendant did resist a lawful arrest by crossing defendants' arm across defendant's chest while deponent attempted to place defendant in handcuffs.- published: 18 Feb 2014

African-American Business Owner's Surveillance Cam Catch Undercover Police Agent Planting Crack
7/25/13 - Report: Unbelievable video captured by a New York business owner's surveillance cameras appear to show an undercover police informant (not a police officer) planting and photographing crack cocaine, which ultimately led to the man's arrest. Scotia and Schenectady County Police reportedly became suspicious of Donald Andrews, Jr., who owns a smoke shop on Mohawk Avenue in Scotia, N.Y., and decided to send the undercover informant to gather some information. He was sent to Andrews' place of business twice, according to WNYT-TV. It was during the informant's second trip to the smoke shop that he was caught on camera planting and photographing what appears to be cocaine. In WNYT-TV's video report, Andrews's lawyer can be heard narrating the shocking surveillance video. "He comes in, places the crack on the counter. Crack, which under federal sentencing guidelines, would get him 4 years in jail. Under New York State law would get him 2 to 7 years in jail," attorney Kevin Luibrand says in the video. Members of the Schenectady chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference expressed shock, letting out gasps of disbelief as they watched what looks like the framing of a business owner. "Neither the Schenectady County Sheriff nor the Scotia Police Chief were available to be interviewed about the apparent planting of evidence," WNYT-TV reports. Schenectady County Sheriff Dominic Dagostino reportedly told the station via phone that proper procedures were not followed. However, he placed the blame on the undercover informant, who is on the run. Andrews was arrested and later released when he produced the incriminating video evidence, recorded on his seven-camera surveillance system. He is in the process of filing a wrongful arrest lawsuit. http://www.allaroundgist.com/- published: 11 Aug 2013

Frustrated: Black American Men in Brazil (DOCUMENTARY)
Al Greeze decided to produce Frustrated after reading a September 2006 Essence Magazine article (Blame it On Rio) written by Professor William Jelani Cobb, which stated that African men were travelling to Brazil for sex vacations with Brazilian prostitutes and the adulation of the Brazilian women Greeze wanted to either confirm or deny and reveal the answers from the men themselves and find out if it is for love and companionship or just sex. The effect may have been suspected but what is the cause? Through research, personal accounts and testimonies from the men who fall in love or date Brazilian women and the reaction and opinions of the women both in the U.S. and in Brazil, the film touches and unlocks some heartfelt emotions to these complex issues including the economic and educational divide between the sexes and the possibly unachievable roles each places on the other. Although the film exams the controversial topic of relationships outside of the African American race and the country, the film's goal is to elicit open conversation and communication amongst men and women, strengthen the family dynamic and give both sides a platform to give an honest account. Frustrated ask such questions as why are African American men finding love outside of their race, what do they feel is missing from African American woman and are African American women now in competition with Brazilian women as they are with other races...is there really a threat, or are the women saying good riddance we don't need you or are they fighting for their men?- published: 09 Oct 2012
