Donald Burton
Donald Graham Burton (10 February 1934 – 8 December 2007) was an English theatre and television actor. Burton was the husband of actress Carroll Baker.
Life and career
Donald was born in Norwich, England, on 10 February 1934. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts on a scholarship. He worked was an Associate Artiste of the Royal Shakespeare Company for many years. He appeared in such famous Shakespeare plays as The Wars of the Roses and Henry IV, Part 1 and 2. He played the character of the Duke of Exeter in the whole series of the 8 Shakespeare 'History' plays which were performed at the R.S.C. in 1964. In 1965 he appeared in the outstandingly successful RSC production of Gogol's The Government Inspector at the Aldwych Theatre, London, with Paul Scofield, Eric Porter, Paul Rogers, Stanley Lebor, Bruce Condell and other outstanding Shakespearian actors of the period
Burton's television roles included Big Breadwinner Hog, Warship, The Duchess of Duke Street; The Doombolt Chase; Upstairs, Downstairs, Public Eye, Minder (Gunfight at the O.K. Laundrette) and Fraud Squad. His more contemporary theatre roles included How the Other Half Loves and Educating Rita. He would have been best known amongst the British public for his role as Commander Mark Nialls, captain of the fictional HMS Hero in the BBC television drama Warship.

Long-time Yuba County resident Donald Schrader is committed to public service. Donald and Peppie, his wife of 47 years, make their home in District 5. They have been blessed to have two adult daughters and five grandchildren.
Throughout his years of service, Don served in a wide array of leadership positions including; Chairman of the Board of Supervisors; Director, Yuba County Water Agency; Yuba County Planning Commissioner and Member of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments to name a few. Currently, he is a Chairman of the North Central Valley Consortium, and is a representative of the District 10 farmers.
He also serves as an Ex-Officio voting member of the Yuba County Republican Party Central Committee and has served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.
Assistant professor at California State University Chico for two years and a professor at Yuba College for 30 years. In addition, he owned and operated Schrader Scale Co. for 24 years.
At the Sixth Annual Assembly Veteran's Recognition Luncheon, long-time Yuba County resident Donald Schrader was the honoree as the 3rd Assembly District's Veteran of the Year.
Assemblyman Dan Logue made the selection based on Schrader's military service with the Army Special Forces during the Viet Nam War in 1965-1966.
"It is my distinct privilege to name Donald Schrader the 3rd Assembly District's Veteran of the Year," said Logue. "Donald provided a brave and heroic service to this country overseas and has continued to serve his community over the years. He is truly an embodiment of what America stands for and what the brave men and women in our military fight to protect."

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. I did the red carpet interviews for the Video Music Awards and I didn't know who anybody was because I grew up not listening to modern music, I wasn't allowed. I grew up listening to Elvis Costello, David Bowie and Elvis Presley. I mean those are the guys I knew. So I'm at the V.M.A., and I don't know who *NSYNC is, I don't know Destiny's Child, I didn't know anybody - I didn't listen to pop music. Well, all of a sudden I see a man I know walking towards me and it's Bono. I know who he is so I'm excited, finally. He comes up to me and he takes my palm and he says, "I see a very long future ahead for us." I'm taken aback. Then he hugs me and just nuzzles that pretty little face of his in my neck; I was a mess. Well six months later, I have this job at MTV and I've been doing for a little while. I go to the Grammys and it was the year that he won every single award there was to win and everybody's trying to get at him. He walks right up to me and says, "I want you to know, I'm very proud of you. You've grown up quite a bit and you're doing a great job and keep it up." I'm like, Bono just gave me a pep talk, this is incredible. He's such a graceful talented man and I feel what I learned at MTV was, the more talented a person is the less hard they have to try. It's those people that put on the, 'I'm-the-star' airs that maybe aren't so good. For instance I had the little duo Tatu on my show. Those girls were trouble.
