Ian Rush, The Ghost [Best Goals]
"He was perceptive and had two good feet. He is one of the most instinctive finishers football has ever seen. My partnership with Rush proved so good because he could run and I could pass. I would just try to put the ball in front of him. Rushie said that he made runs knowing the ball would come to him. That was true but only because his runs were so clever. His run was more important than my pass. Rushie was a good passer himself. He could have been a midfielder because his range of passing was great. Rush was easily the best partner I've ever had." (Kenny Dalglish about Ian Rush)

A collection of Ian Rush goals for Liverpool before he left for Juventus; from his first goal against Oulun Palloseura in 1981 to his last in 1987, against Chelsea.
Sadly, not every game in this period was televised or recorded but (if I've counted correctly) there are 110 of his 207 goals included here.

Everton 0 v Liverpool 5 | 1982/83 | Football League Classic Matches
In 1982--83, the final season of Bob Paisley's management before he retired to make way for Joe Fagan, Liverpool were champions once again with Everton finishing mid-table, and the most notable of the two derbies occurred in early November when Liverpool triumphed 5--0 at Goodison Park.
Ian Rush terrorized the Merseyside rivals with four goals and remains to this day the only Liverpool player to have scored a hat-trick at Goodison Park. Mark Lawrenson added the other.

Paul McGrath according to Ian Rush his most difficult opponent. The United defender kept the ex-big mustachioed liverpool striker 15 games without scoring, quite a feat considering how prolific Rush used to be. What would've been of mcgrath if he had stayed healthy for most of his career?
