The massive boring machine that's being used in the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel expansion project reached a huge milestone. The machine, named "Mary," is digging the tunnel for the project. She's named after 757 native Mary Jackson, a former scientist at NASA Langley. You might have heard of her from the movie Hidden Figures.
WTRK Philadelphia - July 1986. Between Z106 & Electric 106. Station was jockless and nameless at this point, with horn jingle signature between every song for a week. The only ID on the station was the legal WTRK jingle at the top of the hour.

An aircheck of short lived WTRK Electric 106,Philadelphia, courtesy of CHRIS ROTH, who recorded this almost 30 years ago. Derek Johnson was hosting the evening show. This was a Mike Joseph Hot Hits clone, that never really clicked with Philly. The jocks on the short lived WTRK were Ross Brittian from Z100 New York (Morning Drive), Gary Leigh from Sioux Falls, S.D. (9 a.m.-Noon); Tony Davis from St. Louis (Noon-3 p.m.); Brian Murphy from Norfolk, Va. (3-7 p.m.); Derek Johnson from Peoria, Ill. (7 p.m.-Midnight); and Tom Casey from Hartford, Conn. (Midnight-5 a.m.)
WTRK Electric 106 Philadelphia - 1986 This very short aircheck was recorded between the Z106 WZGO era, & the Electric 106 WTRK era. The only ID the station was using was the short, top of the hour WTRK jingle, and a sounder with the WTRK signature was used between every song. This went on for 3 or 4 days until consultant Mike Joseph debuted the Electric 106 format.

(Tricky and A. Smith -> Aka Ambersunshower ) ...
Ambersunshower :
She's been waiting for that special someone
Anguished by the tears left behind them
Fortifying all that lying
Putrid taste left in her mouth
Chorus :
(Ambersunshower sings while Tricky raps)
Ambersunshower :
Follow me, follow me
Down
Follow me, follow me
Down
Tricky :
Yeah, c'mon
Let's do the maniac
Maniac, bumping like a brainiac
Brainiac, I don't remember [?]
Land me down, touch me down at heathrow
Reach down, the first time I ever feel
Bouncers [face?] on 57th st
Calm down, I feel a cool breeze and
Not particular
I think I found a reason
[For I saw?] what I saw
Ambersunshower :
She's been waiting for that special someone
But then look what she's got left
Fortifying all that lyingputrid taste left in her mouth
Chorus :
(Ambersunshower sings while Tricky raps)
Ambersunshower :
Follow me, follow me
Down
Follow me, follow me
Down
Tricky :
Yeah, c'mon
Let's do the maniac
Maniac, bumping like a brainiac

Reach down, the first time I ever feel
Bouncers [face?] on 57th st
Calm down, I feel a cool breeze and
Not particular
I think I found a reason
[For I saw?] what I saw
A: contamination cramps the surface
blood runs cooler than you flow
she is hiding smiles behind whispers and tears
chaos reaches higher ground
Ambersunshower :
Chaos, chaos, chaos
Ambersunshower :
Follow me, follow me
Down
Follow me, follow me
Down
