Snowboarding New York City
i'm an ok snowboarder but i edited this movie to make me look much much better than i actually am. also. THIS IS NOT A JEEP ADVERTISEMENT. I just really like my truck. But I would appreciate some sort of compensation, maybe another jeep, so if you read this jeep people just go ahead a deliver whatever your fanciest toughest jeep is to 368 Broadway #201 NYC 10013. also before delivery put a new proper bumper on the front and back and winch and a snorkel. music is the instrumental of PLug Tunin by De La Soul, and the main music is Krack by Soulwax- published: 14 Feb 2014

New York City Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
New York City is an international metropolis, which welcomes around 50 million tourists annually. In Manhattan's Midtown are some of New York City's most iconic symbols; structures like the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center, and the Grand Central Terminal. Times Square and Broadway provide New York City with near-endless theater and entertainment choices. Fifth Avenue is one of the world's best shopping districts. The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim are just two examples of New York City's cultural collection. Central Park is the city's green lung, where New Yorkers come to exercise and relax. The Reflecting Absence memorial and museum honors the 3000 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Little Italy packs the tastes and flavors of Italy into a couple of streets, while Soho attracts well-heeled bohemians. Greenwich Village has cafés and bars where the likes of Bob Dylan first performed. Brooklyn and Coney Island are two distinct districts easily reachable from Manhattan.. http://www.expedia.com/New-York.d178293.Destination-Travel-Guides- published: 07 Mar 2013

The Dirty Side of New York City
The Dirty Side of New York City
The Great Irish Famine brought a large influx of Irish immigrants, and by 1860, one in four New Yorkers—over 200,000—had been born in Ireland.[100] There was also extensive immigration from the German provinces, where revolutions had disrupted societies, and Germans comprised another 25% of New York's population by 1860.[101] Democratic Party candidates were consistently elected to local office, increasing the city's ties to the South and its dominant party. In 1861 Mayor Fernando Wood called on the aldermen to declare independence from Albany and the United States after the South seceded, but his proposal was not acted on.[94] Anger at new military conscription laws during the American Civil War (1861--1865) led to the Draft Riots of 1863, led by ethnic Irish working class.[94] The situation deteriorated into attacks on black New Yorkers and their property, following fierce competition for a decade between immigrants and blacks for work. Rioters burned the Colored Orphan Asylum to the ground, but its more than 200 children escaped harm.[101] Rioters killed an estimated 100 blacks and attacked many more, especially in the docks area. It was one of the worst incidents of civil unrest in American history.[102] Because of the violence, many blacks left the city for Williamsburg, Brooklyn and New Jersey; the black population in Manhattan fell below 10,000 by 1865, which it had last been in 1820. The white working class had established dominance.[101] In 1898, the modern City of New York was formed with the consolidation of Brooklyn (until then a separate city), the County of New York (which then included parts of the Bronx), the County of Richmond, and the western portion of the County of Queens.[103] The opening of the subway in 1904, first built as separate private systems, helped bind the new city together. Throughout the first half of the 20th century, the city became a world center for industry, commerce, and communication. In 1904, the steamship General Slocum caught fire in the East River, killing 1,021 people on board. In 1911, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, the city's worst industrial disaster, took the lives of 146 garment workers and spurred the growth of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and major improvements in factory safety standards.[104] New York's non-white population was 36,620 in 1890.[105] In the 1920s, New York City was a prime destination for African Americans during the Great Migration from the American South. By 1916, New York City was home to the largest urban African diaspora in North America. The Harlem Renaissance of literary and cultural life flourished during the era of Prohibition. The larger economic boom generated construction of competing skyscrapers that changed the skyline into its identifiable twentieth-century shape. New York became the most populous urbanized area in the world in early 1920s, overtaking London. The metropolitan area surpassed the 10 million mark in early 1930s, becoming the first megacity in human history.[106] The difficult years of the Great Depression saw the election of reformer Fiorello La Guardia as mayor and the fall of Tammany Hall after eighty years of political dominance.- published: 19 Nov 2013
