Costco Craze: Inside the Warehouse Giant - CNBC
Costco is famous for turning the experience of warehouse shopping into an adventure. Costco, one of the nation's top three retailers and the world's largest membership warehouse chain, has thrived by turning convention on its head. The company never advertises, charges its 64 million members to shop there and doesn't mark up any product more than 15 percent. It's a business model that works, generating $93 billion in annual sales.- published: 28 Aug 2013

Jesse Ventura Freaks Out CNBC I'm 'Off the Grid' So 'Drones Can't Find Me'
Jesse Ventura on drones and being off the grid. jesse ventura cnbc interview. jesse ventura appears live via satellite on CNBC from an undisclosed location in Mexico, things are bound to get a little weird. The former professional wrestler and Minnesota governor appeared to unnerve Closing Bell host Kelly Evans and her four other guests with his warnings about the U.S. government and his reasons for staying Off the Grid, as his new internet talk show is called. When Evans asked him what he's doing in Mexico, Ventura explained, "I'm off the grid. I move about with my TV show so that the drones can't find me so you won't know exactly where I am." He added that he views the modern-day United States like "East Berlin" and said he has tried "for 20 years to warn the country about the Democrats and Republicans and nobody's listening." During the interview, Ventura spoke out against income inequality in the United States, blaming both sides for the fact that when "a new child is born today, and they take their first breath of air, they're already $50,000 in debt." He was explaining how he's become a "job creator" in Mexico, preventing people from "running across the border now and taking our jobs," when Evans cut him off. "Jesse, we'll just have to continue the discussion," Evans said. "I'm almost speechless, but we will, of course, be watching." Watch video below, via CNBC:- published: 04 Feb 2014

CNBC Prime
CNBC is the dominant voice in financial news. As a result, they capture a huge, affluent, loyal audience every single day. They recognized an opportunity to expand their brand into Primetime with entertainment programming anchored around the network's core theme: money. This new brand needed to appeal to upwardly mobile men, feel premium without being elitist, and make a clear visual and tonal break from Business Day.
We engineered the look, feel, motion and voice to create a premium, masculine brand with an edge. Stark black and white photography and simple, monospaced type create a marked contrast to the busy, colorful, data-driven daypart. Language injects the design with a confident, cocky tone. In motion, the imagery shears into clean, graphic slices that ease from shot to shot with the precision of a Swiss watch. A crisp logo resolve caps off every promo and ID. The mark itself is simple, balanced and bold.
In addition to the graphic toolkit, we shot live-action in the California desert and the Hollywood Hills to build a library of luxury and lifestyle footage. To round out the toolkit, we also curated a library of premium sourced photography.

CNBC Reporter Courtney Reagan Gets On-Air Marriage Proposal
While taping a segment of CNBC-produced Nightly Business Report this afternoon, CNBC's retail correspondent Courtney Reagan received an on-air marriage proposal from her long-time boyfriend. As the show's anchor, Tyler Mathisen, rattled off a series of questions about the diamond market (appropriately enough) and its upward turn during the holiday season, Reagan's boyfriend Jared Baker — a Goldman Sachs investment researcher — appeared on set and walked up to her as she spoke. Reagan was stunned, to say the least. She cried a lot, Baker said saccharine things and proposed, they got engaged.- published: 13 Nov 2013
