Vodno
Vodno (Macedonian: 
Водно ) is a mountain in Macedonia. It is located in the northern part of the country, to the southwest of the capital city Skopje. The highest point of the mountain is at Krstovar peak, on 1066 meters and the submontane is on 337 meters (Middle Vodno is on 557 m). In 2002, on Krstovar peak the Millennium Cross was built, one of the biggest Christian Crosses in the world.
Climate
The climate in Vodno is cold and temperate. Vodno has a significant amount of rainfall during the year. This is true even for the driest month. The average temperature is 23 Со. The lowest temperature measured on the mountain, in January 2005, is -15 Со; and the highest measured temperature, in July 2005, is 43 Со .
Hydrography
Vodno has a heterogeneous hydrographic web: streams, vaults, waterfalls, springs. Vodno has a lot of streams which are used by the shepherds for feeting their goods and for watering the wild chestnuts.
Vodno has two types of vaults
The objects that are on a higher above sea level are using the arterial underground water, and the objects that are placed on lower above sea level use the well water ones.

From the south side of the city the towering Millennium Cross atop Vodno mountain dominates the panorama of Skopje. The monument is visible from almost all areas of the capital and its presence is felt by strolling urban residents or people entering the city as it draws focal attention.At night the cross can be seen as its covered in thousands of lights.

This time we’re solely focusing on one point - Vodno Mountain. Located to the south of the city, the highest point is at 1066m (3497feet) where you can find the Millennium Cross, built in the early 2000s, overlooking in the city and possibly giving visitors the best view of the city possible.
There are multiple ways to get up there including driving and the bus to Middle Vodno. From there you need to get the cable car to Krstovar (Place of the Cross). Note that this video was filmed slap bang in the middle of Covid-19 and the cable car was closed meaning I had to hike the entire way on the most difficult route.
On a normal day, you can eat at the top or go up in an elevator to get an even better view! Just be careful if you do need to climb down on foot, I got caught in a storm and it can be dangerous!

The Millennium Cross (Macedonian: Милениумски крст, Mileniumski krst) is a 66-metre (217 ft) tall cross situated on the top of Vodno Mountain in the Republic of North Macedonia above the capital city of Skopje. It is one of the tallest crosses in the world. It was constructed to serve as a memorial for 2,000 years of Christianity in Macedonia and to honour biblical passages citing the evangelisation activities of St. Paul within the region.The monument has become a symbol associated with or representing Skopje.As a landmark, the cross has turned into a tourist destination with the best observation point to see the panorama of the capital city.
Design structure
The monument is based on a grid design, similar to the French Eiffel Tower and has the traditional shape of a Christian cross without other additions or elements. It is constructed on a twelve column platform symbolically representing the twelve apostles. Inside the cross there is an elevator to the top level for views of Skopje. From the south side of the city the towering Millennium Cross atop Vodno mountain dominates the panorama of Skopje. The monument is visible from almost all areas of the capital and its presence is felt by strolling urban residents or people entering the city as it draws focal attention.At night the cross can be seen as its covered in thousands of lights.

The highest point of the mountain is at Krstovar peak, on 1066 meters and the submontane is on 337 meters (Middle Vodno is on 557 m). 🇲🇰 SKOPJE, NORTH MACEDONIA - Hi everyone and welcome back to the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje! This lesser-known country in the Balkans comes up with an interesting history just as the rest of the Balkans does. This is Part 2 of my series from the Macedonian capital. In Part 1 we explored some history, checked out the crazy statues and described some first impressions which would be useful if you’re planning a trip to North Macedonia in 2020!
This time we’re solely focusing on one point - Vodno Mountain. Located to the south of the city, the highest point is at 1066m (3497feet) where you can find the Millennium Cross, built in the early 2000s, overlooking in the city and possibly giving visitors the best view of the city possible.
There are multiple ways to get up there including driving and the bus to Middle Vodno. From there you need to get the cable car to Krstovar (Place of the Cross). Note that this video was filmed slap bang in the middle of Covid-19 and the cable car was closed meaning I had to hike the entire way on the most difficult route.
On a normal day, you can eat at the top or go up in an elevator to get an even better view! Just be careful if you do need to climb down on foot, I got caught in a storm and it can be dangerous!

Vodno
Vodno (Macedonian: Водно ) is a mountain in Macedonia. It is located in the northern part of the country, to the southwest of the capital city Skopje. The highest point of the mountain is at Krstovar peak, on 1066 meters and the submontane is on 337 meters (Middle Vodno is on 557 m). In 2002, on Krstovar peak the Millennium Cross was built, one of the biggest Christian Crosses in the world.
Climate
The climate in Vodno is cold and temperate. Vodno has a significant amount of rainfall during the year. This is true even for the driest month. The average temperature is 23 Со. The lowest temperature measured on the mountain, in January 2005, is -15 Со; and the highest measured temperature, in July 2005, is 43 Со .
Hydrography
Vodno has a heterogeneous hydrographic web: streams, vaults, waterfalls, springs. Vodno has a lot of streams which are used by the shepherds for feeting their goods and for watering the wild chestnuts.
Vodno has two types of vaults
The objects that are on a higher above sea level are using the arterial underground water, and the objects that are placed on lower above sea level use the well water ones.
