British Foreign Secretary William Hague listens at right as Secretary of State John Kerry speaks at the State Department in Washington, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, during a discussion on ending sexual violence and conflict in war. The US and Britain are rejecting suggestions that the ouster of Ukraine's pro-Russian president is symbolic of a Cold War-era East-West divide. Kerry and Hague both disputed on Tuesday the idea that the situation in Ukraine is a "zero-sum game," or one in which one sphere of influence wins at the expense of the other. And each urged Russia to work with the West in helping the Ukrainian people peacefully achieve their democratic aspirations.  BBC News
