Brandy Rayana Norwood (born February 11, 1979), better known mononymously as Brandy, is an American recording artist and actress. Born into a musical family in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Carson, California, she enrolled in performing arts schools as a child and performed as a backing vocalist for teen groups. From 1993 to 1994, Norwood appeared in a supporting role on the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea and signed with Atlantic Records. The following year, she released her self-titled debut album. Norwood starred in the UPN sitcom Moesha as the title character, which lasted six seasons and resulted in numerous other roles. She resumed her music career in 1998 with the widely successful duet with fellow R&B contemporary Monica, "The Boy Is Mine", and her second album, Never Say Never; it sold 16 million copies, featured two number one singles, and earned Norwood her first Grammy Award.
Throughout the 2000s, Norwood held a precarious position in the pop industry. In 2002, she starred in the reality series Brandy: Special Delivery. Her third and fourth albums, Full Moon (2002) and Afrodisiac (2004), were released to critical success; however, they were not as commercially successful as her previous two albums in the 1990s. She served as a judge on the first season of America's Got Talent before being involved in a widely publicized car accident in 2006. After several lawsuits stemming from the accident, Norwood's fifth album Human (2008) was released to commercial failure.
I know you're thinking I'd be tripping,
Thinking I'd be playing, you'll be saying I'm into you.
Just take a second, and listen
Cause I ain't into lying, don't trust anybody,
Maybe I ain't trying to kill my body so soon.
Let me know you're worth it
Do you deserve a chance to.?
To touch, to feel my love
Cause ain't nobody perfect
I don't need a surface
Can you show me your love?
And when it's time
I won't even have to tell you so
You'll see the stars are shinin the same
So take your time
Cause love ain't got nowhere to go
It will be waiting there if we wait
Cause there's no such thing as too late
When you really love somebody you can wait
Cause there's no such thing as too late
Can tell me, I'd be afraid
You're beyond saying, you ain't nothing like the other dudes
And judging from my intuition yea yea yea yea
You seem like somebody I could probly give myself to
Not so soon
Cause I want you to love me whenever you get that chance to
To touch, feel my love
Cause ain't nobody perfect
I don't need a surface
Can you show me your love?
And when it's time
I won't even have to tell you so
You'll see the stars are shinin the same
So take your time
Cause love ain't got nowhere to go
It will be waiting there if we wait
Cause there's no such thing as too late
When you really love somebody you can wait
Cause there's no such thing as too late
Listen to my heart and I'll listen to yours
And if they say the same thing then I'll know it then
But until then we should be patient
Let's not start
But when we start I promise you gon love me baby
And when it's time
I won't even have to tell you so
You'll see the stars are shinin the same
So take your time
Cause love ain't got nowhere to go
It will be waiting there if we wait
Cause there's no such thing as too late
When you really love somebody you can wait
(Don't You Think?)
