Microwave Oven Transformer(MOT) 12V to 120V Inverter

This video demonstrates how you can convert a microwave oven transformer into a 12VDC to 120VAC power inverter. This inverter in this video is rated at 75 Watts using the current transistor/resistor setup. The stranded 10ga windings are capable of 300-400 Watts. In order to produce that much power, you would need to use more powerful transistors/mosfets, or add more transistors in parallel with the first set using a low resistance emitter balancing resistor(around .1 ohm/10W). The frequency output is between 150 and 230Hz(Value can vary depending on your setup). Even with this higher frequency, you can still power incandescent lamps, and many electronics because the incoming AC will be converted to DC anyway.

SO MANY people asked me to put mercury in a microwave oven, I have lost count how many people have asked me to try this. I finally managed to find a microwave oven so I could do this. What will happen? - Note: There was a little water on the surface of the mercury. I store the mercury with a layer of water on the top to prevent oxidation. I've always been hesitant about doing ANY microwave videos because so many people do them. Another issue is just getting good video imagery through the grill of the microwave oven. But, a microwave oven fell in my lap and because many people wanted to SEE this, I decided to do it despite the lack-luster results. But... NOW we know what happens.
