Bustles are for the woman that wants to stand out in the crowd. I have seen them worn in many different fashions. you can wrap it and tie at waist creating a bustle. wear it in the front as an apron and I have also had women wear them on the side of their dress or skirt so the ruffles sit only on one side of the hip and waist and tie on the other, almost as a hip belt. I also have had women purchase them and wear two around the waist creating a skirt or even wear it as a backless top, using the drawstring to create straps around the neck and criss cross the back.. With a little imagination the bustle has many different functions and can be worn in many different fashion styles. The drawstrings are rayon/cotton ribbon cording and left extra long so you can cut them to your own length after purchase or choose to keep them long. My bustles are created from a half circle piece of fabric with strips sewn on creating ruffles. The Bustle is completely serged all around the edges and I like to use different colored thread on my serger to add accent in color as you would with trim. The drawstrings are looped through grommits I have attached on both sides at the top of the bustle. They are each assembled differently with different types of fabrics. I personally think bustles are a great accent for any Cosplay costume. Make your night memorable and look Fabulous!!!!
