PM Berisha attends inauguration event of Zemblak – K/Liqenas road

Prime Minister Sali Berisha began today his visit to Korça city with inauguration of Zemblak - K/ Liqenas road, (actually Pustec commune) a state budget investment at an amount of more than 1 billion lekë. The 13.1 km long road is built in accordance with all high standards of contemporary infrastructure.

This road segment begins in Zemblak at the juncture of the new Korçë - Bilisht road with Zemblak; it goes through Korça plain for about 3 km, further on it goes up to Zvezda Pass Korije field, Zvezde Mount and up to the juncture of Liqenas road with 'Customs' road of Gorrica.

In his meeting with the local residents of Pustec commune, the prime minister expressed his pleasure at them enjoying a fine road and very important not only for them, but for all the country as well as for the tourists coming from all over the world to visit Prespa, as one of the most beautiful pearls of Albanian nature, the Balkans and beyond.

"The road cuts the distance of the village to Korça and further of Korça to Prespa, the travel time of the tourists who come to visit Prespa", said the prime minister adding that, "The road is in full accordance with our philosophy of cutting long distances and connection of the communes with the cities, with the national axis and cutting their distance with the capital of the country".

The prime minister considered the road a bridge of friendship between two friendly countries, Macedonia and Albania, while giving assurances to Pusteci residents of Macedonian minority that the government of Albania policy remains one of friendly and close cooperation in all the fields with the friendly country, in the best interest of the two countries, nations and region as a whole.

Speaking about June 23 elections, the prime minister expressed his conviction that, "The Albanians by maturity, cold-bloodedness will vote in favour of the political force that has got confirmed in the course of all these years the real locomotive of integration. They will vote to express their confidence in those who delivered to their promises".
