Amanda Redman Visits the Church of Ireland in New Ross - Who Do You Think You Are
Amanda pays a visit to St. Mary's (Church of Ireland) in New Ross, which is where her Great Great Grandfather's records are held. She finds out more about his background and that of his father. Amanda Redman is an English actress, perhaps best known for her role as Sandra Pullman in the BBC One series New Tricks. Amanda's father died in 1980, when Amanda was in her mid-teens and since then she has never felt able to ask her mother about her family's past. The little information she did pick up while growing up was based only on gossip and hearsay. There were rumours of illegitimacy in the family, an abusive grandfather and mysterious uncles. Saint Mary's Church Of Ireland, Dungarvan - A Short History
A church has existed at the location of St. Mary's Church of Ireland almost since the foundation of Dungarvan town, Co. Waterford, Ireland. The remains of the old Pre-Reformation Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin, records of which date back to the 1300s, can still be seen in the grounds of the present church. Stop 3 on The Dungarvan Heritage Trail. Produced by Rememberwhen.ie in association with Waterford County Museum. The Dungarvan Heritage Trail is also available as an App on iTunes or on Google Play.- published: 21 Aug 2013

RTE Radio 1 - Broadcast Service - St Pappans, Church of Ireland, Santry, Dublin - January 1988
This Broadcast service, led by Rev Victor Stacey, on "Christ the teacher" from the 9th sunday before Easter in 1988 is either the 24th or the 31st of January. For clarity, this is the Church of Ireland (Anglican/Protestant) St Pappans, on the old Airport Road in Santry, not the Roman Catholic one of the similar name St Pappins nearby in the Ballymun area. For historical context, Beaumont Hospital was opened in 1987, and the National Institute of Higher Education would later formerly become DCU Dublin City University from 1989. During the Sermon, the Broadcast experiences audio interference of high pitch tones, and low level speech interference, which appears to be on the original Live Outside Broadcast Audio feed. http://dublin.anglican.org/santry/index.php http://www.geograph.ie/photo/324406 http://www.ireland.anglican.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Ireland (opens with an incomplete version of) 1:00 "Praise to the Lord" "Lobe den Herren, den mächtigen König der Ehren - EG 317" musical composition administered by: One or more music publishing rights collecting societies Welcome (and some local area information) Prayers (including Congregational Confessional and responsive Prayer) Sung reading of "Psalm 34: v 11-18" Reading: Proverbs Chapter 3, v 1- Canticle: "Great and wonderful are your deeds, Lord God the Almighty" Reading: Luke: Chapter 8, verse 4 - Canticle: Te Deum part one Responsive Prayer Nicene Creed Prayer (Lord have Mercy) Lords Prayer (1988 ELLC - English Language Liturgical Consultation - & Doxology version) Prayers Collit for Peace Prayers "Almighty God thy work is cast like seed upon the ground" Prayer Sermon Prayer "Teach me my God and King" Prayers "Put thou they trust in God" Prayer of thanks Blessing Broadcast concludes with a currently unknown instrumental piece of organ music.
