Seven people were killed and 58 sustained injuries in an accident involving two buses at Pageri along the Juba- Nimule highway.
One of the buses, belonging to Gateway company collided with another bus heading in the opposite direction. Eyewitnesses said the drivers and conductors of both buses were among the casualties. Some of the injured were taken to St Mary’s hospital Lacor, while others went to Nimule Hospital.

Nimule
Nimule is a town in South Sudan, the youngest country in the world, created on 9 July 2011.
Location
Nimule is located in Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria State, South Sudan, immediately north of the International border with the Republic of Uganda. This location lies approximately 197 kilometres (122 mi), by road, southeast of Juba, the capital of South Sudan and the largest city in that country. This location lies approximately 120 kilometres (75 mi), by road, north of Gulu, Uganda, the nearest large city. The coordinates of Nimule are:3°35'46.0"N, 32°03'49.0"E (Latitude:3.596111; Longitude:32.063611).
Population
The population of Nimule was estimated at about 45,000 in 2006. The current population is not publicly known, as of December 2014.
Overview
On 19 August 2013, the South Sudanese parliament decided to upgrade Nimule to Town Council status, administered by a Town Clerk. Some in the county have protested, calling for wider consultations.
Transport
In 2007, there were new proposals for a standard gauge rail link between Uganda and South Sudan passing through Nimule.

The purpose of the trip was to complete the first phase of a humanitarian project in which his band, the Aaron Hendra Project in partnership with Give Records, Evolucia Lighting and Angels of East Africa hope to raise funds for and install efficient hi tech LED lights on the property. Also planned is the purchase and installation of a 5kw solar farm to power the lights and other appliances on the orphanage.
