Hotel
A hotel is an establishment that provides lodging paid on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a basic bed and storage for clothing, to luxury features like en-suite bathrooms. Larger hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre, childcare, conference facilities and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In the United Kingdom, a hotel is required by law to serve food and drinks to all guests within certain stated hours. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a minimized amount of room space and shared facilities.
The precursor to the modern hotel was the inn of medieval Europe. For a period of about 200 years from the mid-17th century, coaching inns served as a place for lodging for coach travelers. Inns began to cater for richer clients in the mid-18th century. One of the first hotels in a modern sense was opened in Exeter in 1768. Hotels proliferated throughout Western Europe and North America in the 19th century, and luxury hotels began to spring up in the later part of the century.

Holiday cottage
A holiday cottage, holiday home, or vacation property is accommodation used for holiday vacations. Such properties are typically small homes, such as cottages, that vacationers can rent and run as if it were their own home for the duration of their stay. The properties may be owned by those using them for a vacation, in which case the term second home applies; or may be rented out to holidaymakers through an agency.
Terminology varies among countries. In the United Kingdom this type of property is usually termed a holiday home or holiday cottage; in Australia, a holiday house/home, or weekender; in New Zealand, a bach or crib.
Characteristics and advantages
A second home or vacation home can be a home owner's asset as renting it could provide additional income. Many vacationers are opting for a single family residence that they can rent on a nightly or weekly basis. In many cases the savings for them are significant compared to hotels or vacation packages. For owners it can be as rewarding as paying the mortgage. As people begin to realize this trend vacation type properties are becoming popular not only for existing homes but also for building one.

This shocking footage shows the moment a mini-tornado tore around the swimming pool of a posh hotel and sent parasols flying. The freak weather hit the ancient town of Lindos, on Greek island Rhodes, in a matter of minutes while swimmers splashed around in a hotel pool.Branches of a palm tree were blown around by the wind before a small ‘tornado’ began to speed around the surface of the water, and two parasols were buffeted around and lifted into the air.Holidaymaker Ian Henderson, 36, was on holiday with pals to celebrate a childhood friend’s wedding and filmed the storm on his phone.

Qatar Airways Business Class & The World's Best Airport Hotel
My latest Crazy Day Trip, flying on Austrian Airlines to Vienna and Cairo, before the world's strangest airport connection at Cairo, connecting from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 onto the wonderful Qatar Airways business class. I then was lucky to stay in what I would consider the world's best airport hotel, The Airport Hotel at Hamad International Airport, Doha. The airport is a five star hotel located inside the departure hall at Hamad International Airport, and features fantastic rooms and an amazing swimming pool and spa, perfect to relax between flights. Thanks to Casey, who has a full Flightradar24 subscription, I could fill in the info in the clips! This video contains the clips of the first day at LHR. After arriving at the Thistle hotel where we stayed during the trip, we dropped our stuff and went straight to the restaurant and enjoyed take offs from runway 27R! Plane Spotting at Valencia Manises Airport, VLC | 23-05-17
Decided to spend about just over an hour spotting at Valencia Airport before heading off for our hotel. Found a niche spot on the second floor of departures, which has views over the airfield, sadly the windows did need a wash haha, and I couldn't go outside onto the balcony bit as that wasn't allowed. Would of been perfect if I could. Anyhow, an hours spotting resulted quite well, with some decent movements caught, some lovely sunny Spanish weather too. As we had arrived we caught the final moments of RW30 in action before ATC swapped operations to RW12. Personally I preferred the view of RW30 landings, however with RW12 in use it meant I'd see most stuff landing close up as it taxied past. Not a huge amount of variety here, it is a Spanish regional airport, not like a hub like Madrid ...

Spotting at Hamburg Airport | 26th June 2017
Day 2 of Hamburg spotting! After a great nights sleep and an excellent breakfast in the Radisson Blue hotel (highly recommend) we were back on the T1 Terrace at around 8:30am, and to my surprise it was busier than ever! Lots of stuff departing and arriving on runways 33 and 23, another good selection of movements, it was pretty amazing to see the smokey touchdown of the United 767 too! There was then a situation involving the RYR that was meant to be departing to MAN, The aircraft aborted takeoff and vacated the runway, they then proceeded to return to stand and was then met by paramedics, i hope whoever was unwell recovered or is recovering well! My latest Crazy Day Trip, flying on Austrian Airlines to Vienna and Cairo, before the world's strangest airport connection at Cairo, connecting from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 onto the wonderful Qatar Airways business class. I then was lucky to stay in what I would consider the world's best airport hotel, The Airport Hotel at Hamad International Airport, Doha. The airport is a five star hotel located inside the departure hall at Hamad International Airport, and features fantastic rooms and an amazing swimming pool and spa, perfect to relax between flights. Then it's back to London Heathrow in business class onboard the wonderful Qatar Airways Airbus A350-900.

He helped me a lot with the editing of this video which contains something new: flight info of the planes you are seeing! Thanks to Casey, who has a full Flightradar24 subscription, I could fill in the info in the clips!
This video contains the clips of the first day at LHR. After arriving at the Thistle hotel where we stayed during the trip, we dropped our stuff and went straight to the restaurant and enjoyed take offs from runway 27R! Around 3pm the runway changed to landings so we went to the foot where we stayed till just before dark.

Weston’s Rotom comes out of hiding to reveal that its Trainer was once the owner, but Mantle challenged him to a battle on the hotel’s opening day 10 years ago. When the inexperienced Rotom ran away, Mantle declared himself the winner—of the battle and the hotel! To make amends, Rotom sends our heroes back in time to that fateful battle! This time, Clemont and the others help Weston and Rotom defeat the crook.
When they return to the present, our heroes discover a big change: the hotel is sparkling and clean, Weston is the rightful owner, and Mantle and his goons are working as bellhops. And a framed photo from the hotel’s opening day proves that our heroes really were there

Decided to spend about just over an hour spotting at Valencia Airport before heading off for our hotel. Found a niche spot on the second floor of departures, which has views over the airfield, sadly the windows did need a wash haha, and I couldn't go outside onto the balcony bit as that wasn't allowed. Would of been perfect if I could.
Anyhow, an hours spotting resulted quite well, with some decent movements caught, some lovely sunny Spanish weather too. As we had arrived we caught the final moments of RW30 in action before ATC swapped operations to RW12. Personally I preferred the view of RW30 landings, however with RW12 in use it meant I'd see most stuff landing close up as it taxied past.
Not a huge amount of variety here, it is a Spanish regional airport, not like a hub like Madrid or Barcelona. In this video you'll see Ryanair 737's, a Lufthansa A320, Israir A320 operating for El Al, Air Europa 738 and AT75, Air Nostrum CRJ 900 and AT76, TAP Express AT76, Aeroflot A320, Easyjet A319 and A320, Vueling A320

Decided to spend about just over an hour spotting at Valencia Airport before heading off for our hotel. Found a niche spot on the second floor of departures, which has views over the airfield, sadly the windows did need a wash haha, and I couldn't go outside onto the balcony bit as that wasn't allowed. Would of been perfect if I could.
Anyhow, an hours spotting resulted quite well, with some decent movements caught, some lovely sunny Spanish weather too. As we had arrived we caught the final moments of RW30 in action before ATC swapped operations to RW12. Personally I preferred the view of RW30 landings, however with RW12 in use it meant I'd see most stuff landing close up as it taxied past.
Not a huge amount of variety here, it is a Spanish regional airport, not like a hub like Madrid or Barcelona. In this video you'll see Ryanair 737's, a Lufthansa A320, Israir A320 operating for El Al, Air Europa 738 and AT75, Air Nostrum CRJ 900 and AT76, TAP Express AT76, Aeroflot A320, Easyjet A319 and A320, Vueling A320

Day 2 of Hamburg spotting! After a great nights sleep and an excellent breakfast in the Radisson Blue hotel (highly recommend) we were back on the T1 Terrace at around 8:30am, and to my surprise it was busier than ever! Lots of stuff departing and arriving on runways 33 and 23, another good selection of movements, it was pretty amazing to see the smokey touchdown of the United 767 too! There was then a situation involving the RYR that was meant to be departing to MAN, The aircraft aborted takeoff and vacated the runway, they then proceeded to return to stand and was then met by paramedics, i hope whoever was unwell recovered or is recovering well! Later on I got a brief glimpse of a soon to be delivered SAS A320NEO on approach to Hamburg XFW. Then very shortly another aircraft caught my attention, an unknown A321 that had departed XFW had established on the ILS for runway 23, so we were eager to see it, and too our amazement an freshly painted soon to be Aeroflot A321 with sharklets screamed over our heads at full power executing an awesome go around before landing at XFW! Shortly after a Bahrain government 747 was towed out but sadly didnt move. We then headed into the terminal and found a pretty good spot near our departure gate to film the last few arrivals. I was massively surprised when i saw Corsair A330-200 F-HCAT on final for 23, and even more surprised when it parked next to me, sadly this is when things started to go wrong for me, I started to film the Corsair being unloaded and was completelty oblivious to an arriving Germanwings A319 from Cologne, and this was a shot in the foot bearing in mind the crosswind was still very much present. While i filmed the Corsair in the corner of my eye I noticed the A319 Come down, wobble a bit then TOGA, I couldn't believe i missed such an impressive go around, the aircraft was within 50 feet! It would have been amazing!! Anyhow we finished the amazing two days proceedings with a Discover Turkey TK A321 and our own Wizzair example touching down on Runway 23 to then take us to Gdansk.
Well, what an amazing couple of days it had been in Hamburg. I would highly recommend this airport to anyone who is a fan of fast paced movements and regional jets and props. Location wise it's excellent too!
