Ethics

Ethics or moral philosophy is the branch of philosophy that involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong conduct. The term ethics derives from the Ancient Greek word ἠθικός ethikos, which is derived from the word ἦθος ethos (habit, "custom"). The branch of philosophy axiology comprises the sub-branches of ethics and aesthetics, each concerned with values.

As a branch of philosophy, ethics investigates the questions "What is the best way for people to live?" and "What actions are right or wrong in particular circumstances?" In practice, ethics seeks to resolve questions of human morality, by defining concepts such as good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice and crime. As a field of intellectual enquiry, moral philosophy also is related to the fields of moral psychology, descriptive ethics, and value theory.

Three major areas of study within ethics recognised today are:

Conservative Party (Norway)

The Conservative Party (Norwegian: Høyre, H, literally "right") is a conservative and liberal-conservativepolitical party in Norway. It is the major party of the Norwegian centre-right, and the leading party in the governing Solberg cabinet. The current party leader is the Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg.

In national elections in September 2013, voters ended eight years of Labour Party rule. A coalition of the Conservative Party and the Progress Party (FrP) entered office based on promises of tax cuts, better services and stricter rules on immigration, with the support of the Liberal Party and Christian Democratic Party. After winning the elections, Solberg said her win was "a historic election victory for the right-wing electoral bloc".

The party advocates economic liberalism, reduction of taxes, and individual rights, and defines itself as a "conservative party of progress". It has historically been the most outspokenly pro-European Union party in Norway, supporting Norwegian membership during both the 1972 and 1994 referendums. The party generally supports semi-privatization through state-funded private services and tougher law and order measures.

Good-Bye (Sakanaction song)

"Good-Bye" (Japanese: グッド�イ, Hepburn: Guddobai) is a song by Japanese band Sakanaction. It was released as a single in January 2014, as a double A-side single with the song "Eureka". A rock ballad primarily based around non-electronic instruments, the song was composed by the band's vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi about his mental state while physically unwell and mentally frustrated, after being unable to finish writing the song "Sayonara wa Emotion". In January 2014, a remix of the song was used in the NHK documentary program Next World: Watashi-tachi no Mirai, later to be included on the band's compilation album Natsukashii Tsuki wa Atarashii Tsuki: Coupling & Remix Works (2015).

The physical single debuted at number two on Oricon's weekly singles chart, while "Good-Bye" outperformed "Eureka" on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, also reaching number two. Critics received the song well, praising the song for its simple band sound that developed with the additional of guitar feedback, and believed that the song was an expression of a musician reaffirming their identity and their desire to continue into uncharted musical territory.

Goodbye (Def Leppard song)

"Goodbye" is a 1999 song by British hard rock band Def Leppard from their Euphoria. The single reached number 54 on the UK Singles Chart.

List of Fullmetal Alchemist episodes

The episodes from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist are supposed to be based on Fullmetal Alchemist manga by Hiromu Arakawa. Set in a fictional universe in which alchemy is one of the most advanced scientific techniques known to man, the story follows Edward and Alphonse Elric, two brothers, who want to recover parts of their bodies lost in an attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy.

Fullmetal Alchemist was first aired on the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) in Japan from October 4, 2003, to October 2, 2004. It later aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block in the United States from November 6, 2004, and its remake, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, is still airing on Saturdays at 12:30 AM. A theatrical release titled Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa, a sequel to the television series, premiered in Japanese theaters on July 23, 2005; and it premiered in the U.S. on August 24, 2006. A series of five original video animations (OVAs) were also released. The majority of these OVAs are side stories and do not expand on the plot. In 2009, a new anime, named Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the English release started broadcast in TV Tokyo being directed by Yasuhiro.

Family (1976 TV series)

Family is an American television drama series that aired on the ABC television network from 1976 to 1980. Creative control of the show was split among executive producers Leonard Goldberg, Aaron Spelling and Mike Nichols. A total of 86 episodes were produced. It is not related to the ABC sitcom A New Kind of Family that aired concurrently with Family during its final season.

Premise

The show featured Sada Thompson and James Broderick as Kate and Doug Lawrence, a happily married middle-class couple living at 1230 Holland Street in Pasadena, California. Doug was an independent lawyer and Kate was a housewife (she would eventually go back to school). They had three children: Nancy (portrayed by Elayne Heilveil in the original mini-series and later by Meredith Baxter Birney), Willie (Gary Frank), and Letitia, nicknamed "Buddy" (Kristy McNichol). (There was another son, Timothy, who had died five years prior to the series' beginning.) The show raised the profile of all of its featured actors during its run and, in particular, catapulted McNichol to stardom.
