Top 10 Poorest Countries in the World 2013. Thanks For Watching. Please Subscribe, Like, Share and Comment. Source: http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/world-top-ten-poorest-countries-map.html The top ten poorest countries map has been prepared on the basis of the GDP of a country. A country with a GDP per capita of $765 dollars or less is defined as a low-income or poor country. The figures above include data and forecasts for the wealth of countries and regions for year 2013. Source: the IMF In the early 80′s, Bob Geldof of the band called The Boomtown Rats saw in the news the massive famine engulfing the African country of Ethiopia. He felt guilty because he couldn't believe that while the Western world was suffering from an abundance of wealth and food, a continent just below them were a people that did not have anything at all. He organized Band Aid, enlisting the help of other stars like Bono, George Michael and Sting, to raise funds for Africa through a song entitled "Do They Know It's Christmas?" Their counterparts in the United States followed suit, with Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie writing a song called "We are the World." They then banded together for Live Aid, that added stars like Madonna, Paul McCartney and Elton John in a two-continent concert. Yet, almost three decades after, Africa remains a veritable wasteland. Out of the 20 poorest countries in the world, 17 comes from the continent, including nine out of the top 10. Based on the different countries' gross domestic product purchasing power parity, here are the 10 poorest countries in the world in 2013. We do not inherit Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. The Earth is a home for 204 countries, 809 islands and 7 seas yet the Earth has not equally distributed its resources all over the world. With highly developed countries to highly poor countries; the Earth breeds all! With some countries having a high standard of living, some other countries do not have the basic necessities of life. With very little degree of variations, the suffering of millions of people is quite common and inevitable. With poverty stricken, Malnutrition, diseases, scarcity of food, the world has been a devastating place for hundreds of thousands of underprivileged people who literally have no standard of living. Here is a list of the top 10 poorest countries in the world (2013) which reflects how the world still needs to implement a good deal of ideas and resources to the underprivileged countries and wipe off the poverty from the face of Earth. When thinking of the world's poorest countries you may think of Haiti or Bangladesh but you would be wrong. The truth is that all of the world's 10 poorest countries are located in just one continent: Africa. Here is the list of which are considered to be the world's poorest countries today. Aside from a few unfinished running-around-in-the-woods-with-guns experiments from my early teens, this is my first film. I made it because I love all the different aspects of filmmaking, because I was tired of my fear of failure, and because I wanted to see what would happen if I just finished one. Maybe this will lead to bigger and better films; maybe not. Either way I learned something.
The story was largely born from its constraints. It had to be doable in my free time, and I had to be able to shoot it during my vacation in Nags Head, NC—with a budget of only $50, to cover the props (I'd previously owned the Canon T2i, lenses, and Logic Pro, and used the free 30-day trial of FCPX). I wanted it to be a simple story with a mysterious twist or two.
I got lots of advice from fellow filmmakers—Andrew, Mitchell, Kyle, Brian, Shepherd, Drew, David, and others. If you like the film, thank you Andrew, Mitchell, Kyle, Brian, Shepherd, Drew, and David. If you thought it was rubbish, they only tried to make it better than it was. And thanks again to Abbie and Gabe, without whose talents I couldn't have made it.
Some have asked about Emily; the film wasn't written about her (she passed away while it was in post-production), but she was a dear friend of my family and many others, and it was an honor to dedicate it to her memory.
Many of you know far more about filmmaking than I do, so please feel free to offer any critique.
The Lights Film School blog interviewed me about the making of the film and overcoming fear of failure: http://www.lightsfilmschool.com/blog/short-film-canon-t2i-low-budget/1780/

Timelapse Croatia - showreel / teaser
[[EDIT]]
Just a few words, since we've been flooded with questions, comments, e-mails, tweets etc.
First of all, thanks to everyone on such really overwhelmingly positive reactions!
The movie you're about to see is a preview of what we would like to do, in regards of representing Croatia as a destination in a different way.
No one commissioned us to do this, we put our own work, time, gear, money and ideas into it. Because of this we chose the locations, the editing and music as we saw fit.
Of course, what we ended up putting in this video is merely a fragment of what Croatia has to offer. As photographers who have traveled across our country from one end to another, we are well aware that there is so much more to be filmed. And we are more than happy to do it - after all, we're two guys who really love their job. It's simply that the pace at which we can finish this project will depend mostly on if we can get financial support, or we'll have to figure out some other way to pull this off.
Explaining timelapse technique to an average person, or a potential client can be very hard. Even most of our colleagues have no real sense of how demanding timelapses can be. So we decided to skip on the whining and tried to show what timelapse is really about and how visually attractive it can be.
Almost a full year of work went into this. Months and months of work and hundreds of thousands photographs for a few minutes of video. Sounds silly, but that's basically how it is. For example, we spent last 3 months literally sitting at our workstations editing and rendering frame after frame, shot after shot, location after location. Crazy people :)
So, if by the end of this year we end up with another 4 minutes of worthwhile material, we'll be more than happy to share!
Until then, lay back, relax and enjoy!

ZEWDU the street child.

Zewdu the street child SYNOPSIS:
Zewdu is a street child that sells chewing gums and sleeps under a car in the city of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. One day a foreign tourist gives him by mistake a larger amount of money then the one he was asking for, he decides to spend that money to go back to the village where his father lives, but a different destiny is abut to unveil.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This short hybrid movie was written and shot after I've worked with an NGO that helped orphans getting a better education. All actors are "Non-actors" me and my small crew found on the street.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Some facts:
Ethiopia counts one of the largest populations of orphans in the world: 13 per cent of children throughout the country are missing one or both parents. This represents an estimated 4.6 million children – 800,000 of whom were orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
The country has seen a steady increase in the number of children becoming orphaned because of AIDS. In the past, famine, conflict and other diseases were the main factors that claimed the lives of parents
Many street children don’t have access to basic rights such as proper care, education, psychological support and supervision. Often, orphans and other vulnerable children are forced to work to earn an income. They are exposed to various forms of exploitation, including sexual exploitation.

Wild Country Crack School - Episode 1 - Finger Cracks - By Tom Randall And Pete Whittaker
Wild Country ‘Crack School’ is a series of six short videos designed to utilise the skills and knowledge of Wild Country climbers Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker to give an introduction to basics of crack climbing. Over six episodes the guys cover all widths of crack: Fingers, Hands, Fists and Offwidths as well as looking at the skills of gear placement and taping up.
Designed for those who know next to nothing about crack climbing and who want to make their first steps, the videos are made to illustrate what the guys think are the most pertinent points for starting out on each size of crack. They look at how to use hands and feet in the crack as well as gear and overall tips on technique and the way to approach each type of crack.
Importantly, and often overlooked, is the fact that these ‘crack’ techniques not only allow you to climb routes defined as cracks but this new knowledge makes you a more rounded climber. So if faced with a short section of crack, or a corner or groove you have an armoury and variety of ways of placing your hands to keep you going. These techniques therefore are incredibly important if you are making a transition from indoors to out, when holds move from ‘sticking out’ to ‘going in’ and thrusting, poking, camming and jamming become more important than simply grabbing and pulling. ¬
As Tom Randall says: ‘Crack climbing well is a fantastic feeling and learning how to climb cracks opens up a world of routes, and indeed some of the best routes in the world: from Brown and Whillans’ classics in the UK (try doing Cenotaph Corner or the Sloth without being able to jam) through to Yosemite and Indian Creek in the USA. And remember, the best climbers always have a variety of techniques at their disposal and having a variety of techniques always makes you a better climber!!’
