On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman gets his hands on the all-new, 2015 Subaru WRX, as well as one of Motor Trend's favorite pocket rockets, the Ford Focus ST. Each car costs about $30,000, sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with similar power outputs, and features a 6-speed manual transmission. The Subaru of course features a sporty version of the brand's "symmetrical AWD" while the Focus makes due with just the front wheels driven. However, since it first appeared, the Focus ST has wowed the Motor Trend staff with ability to dance around corners and, generally, not drive and feel like a front-wheel driver. We like the Focus ST so much that we invited it to last year's Best Driver's Car. But does the Ford have what it takes to beat the latest street-tamed rally baby from Subaru? The engine in the BMW 418d Gran Coupé (fuel consumption urban/extra-urban/combined: 5.4/4.0/4.5 l/100 km; combined CO2 emission: 119 g/km) has an output of 105 kW/143 hp and consumes 4.5 to 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers. All diesel and petrol engines feature the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and comply with the EU6 emissions standard. Alright movie fans, prepare yourself. I foresee you buying more tickets to the theater in the near future and that is because Back To The Future is becoming a stage musical! Say whaat?? The theater dork in me just threw out some jazz hands and kick ball changed all over the room. Okay, here are the details. The plan is to have the show premiere in London's West End during the 2015-2016 theater season, which is perfectly timed because it will the 30th anniversary of the original movie. The Back To The Future director, Robert Zemeckis and co-writer Bob Gale will be involved in this whole re imagining process, and they are both currently writing the book that will then be the source material for the play. The show is being developed by Universal Stage Productions producer Colin Ingram who has been involved in several other film to stage adaptations including Breakfast At Tiffanys and Ghost The Musical. He will also get some help from Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment group, which we think will serve as a pretty impressive team. But what will this musical be like? Well, apparently it will feature some brand new music along with some tunes you may remember from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode. The musical's director, theater favorite Jamie Lloyd says that we can also expect a new take on the classic saying that the show will "include illusions, skateboarding, and many other surprises that will capture the spirit of the film but freshly interpret it for a new audience."
