War 08.08.08. The Art of Betrayal
About the film
“War 08.08.08. The Art of Betrayal” – is one of the first documentary Internet-films. This is the most outspoken film about the war, that started on the day of opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing, the film about the war, in which tens of Russian peacemaker perished as well as hundreds of peaceful Ossetians; it is the film about the war that turned out to be the doping drug for the rating of the republican candidate to the post of the President of the USA – John McCain.
The editorial staff of Russia.ru kept an eye on the progress of this war from the very beginning of Georgian invasion in Tskhinval. The camera crew of the TV-channel came into the destroyed republic on the 12th of August for the first time.
This trip resulted in more than 100 footages about the destroyed capital of the South Ossetia, about the burnt villages, dead civilians, about the families left without their houses, about the people, whose relatives are missing.
Russia.ru created a large base of experts, commentators and witnesses of the war crimes of the Georgian army. Finally it was decided to carry out a complete investigation of the events in the Caucasus, and the camera crew of Russia.ru headed by the writer Kirill Benediktov went the the South Ossetia again.
The stories, that were told to the journalists by the witnesses of these events and by prosecutor's office of the Republic, clearly showed that the film about genocide of the Ossetians just can not have any other name but “The Art of Betrayal”
The attack upon Tskhinval was preceded by a range of treacheries. OSCE and other international observers have just ignored the claim of the Ossetian part about the fact that the Georgian army is preparing the base area for the bombardment of Tskhinval and has already taken a strategically important high ground and for several weeks has been building entrenchments, blindages and fire trenches there.
Exactly from these entrenchments fire was delivered to the sleeping city by the Georgian peacemakers wearing the uniform of NATO – although they were the people whose duty was to keep peace within this region, but not to bring deaths. The traitors, the fifth column, turned out to be in the South Ossetia as well. And the most straightforward treachery was the speech of Mihail Saakashvili, who 4 hours before the attack upon Tskhinval calmed down the Ossetian people, persuading them that he doesn’t want to set the war off.
The film “War 08.08.08. The Art of Betrayal” is made up of 40 hours of the video-footage, brought from the South Ossetia by the camera crew, found on the YouTube Web site and other video- portals, sent by the Internet users, or taken from the video recordings of the cell-phones of the dead Georgian soldiers.
For the first time in the history the war has been recorded by the video-cameras of the cell-phones. These recording give the audience the chance to see the attack upon the South Ossetia in the way, the aggressors (who were destroying the houses of the Ossetian people with the cries of joy) saw it.
The uniqueness of these recordings is obvious: the journalists just are not able to film the very thick of the war, the faces of the murderers at the moment when the crime is being committed, the most straightforward and scary video of genocide. All this was recorded by the Georgian military men themselves.
The mission of this film was to show the truth about this war to the huge amount of viewers, to the millions of people in the whole world. It is the film about those people, who set off this massacre, about the fact who backs Mihail Saakashvili, and who received political dividends from the genocide of the Ossetian people and from the western informational chasing aimed at Russia.
In the nearest future the film will be translated into English, Chinese, Spanish, German and other languages and will be available for all the users of the World Wide Web. If someone of our audience wishes to take part in the distribution of this film, if you have the chance to help us, you can put the hyperlink to the film “War 08.08.08” in your blog or on your Internet-page.
It is so, because today any people, who are not indifferent to the tragedy of the South Ossetia, can become the participants of unmasking the lies of a range of Western mass media and of politicians, with whose connivance and assistance Georgia was able to attack the sleeping Tskhinval to frighten the whole world by the made up “Russian threat”.
It is so, because the war in the South Ossetia is not to vanish in history, is not to be forgotten and is not to become one the latest historical myths.
It is so, because all the world has to know what happened on the 8th of August, 2008.
History of the conflict
In 1774 Ossetia became a part of the Russian Empire. At that time, it hadn’t been divided into South and North Ossetia yet. In 1801 Georgia also joined the Russian Empire.

South Ossetia five years after the war (part 2)
Five years after the war, if one looks at Tskhinvali from above, it seems that this is a new city with red-green inflorescent roofs. Having been brought into relative order, the center of the city, for people who come here for a day or two, presents a nice picture. However, if to look more closely, it becomes clear that the recovery process is still far from complete. Many residents have spent years in buildings ruined during the war, and some people still do not have normal living conditions.

Hawdee boys and girls.
I am George W. Bush- president of the great country- United States of America.
Very soon my term will come to an end, but before I leave I’m gonna tell you something.
My country is an empire.the Empire that rules the world.
We control completely everything: money, oil, politics, wars, information, culture, science…Everything in the world.
But it wasn’t like that at the beginning. Let’s have a look how we became a super power.
It started many years ago. I call it the American show.
At the beginning we were not that strong, Europe and Russia were much stronger. Great civilizations! We started to solve this problem by initiating the First World War. While they were killing each other, we were building up our country. Doesn’t matter how many people will get killed-it’s important you will be alright. Who cares about 10 million people…
After World war one, we made Hitler’s way into Power in Germany. He started World war two. Oh, we made a lot of money out of this deal. We didn’t interfere till the end, we took out time and waited until all young and strong will die, when they will destroy their cities and then we well appear, saviors of the world. But only if everybody will owe us and the most talented will come here to work.
It doesn’t really matter that Hitler killed 50 million people. Shit happens. The main thing is that you’re alright. Honestly, Hitler was our friend. My grandpa Prescot Bush, here, hi grandpa, was a banker. He sponsored Hitler’s rise to power. He also thought there is a master race and lower races.
We never respected others. What’s the point? The point is only about oppressing. Our civilization has always destroyed other cultures. We did it to the Indians, subjected African nations and we don’t know other.
We had jazz and movies, they had war…Jazz and movies…opposite war.
My grandpa was telling me how he organized Perl Harbor with his friends. It was later, when we rewrote history and you are taught that the Japanese were in charge. We just needed a reason to get into war. What is 2000 people, even if it’s our soldiers, compared to billions of dollars that we had earned and the power we secured.
Yes, we won the war, we got out of it more that others. Russians and Germans were just food for powder, like others. We just had to help them out with equipment and cozy up so they can finish the deal.
We needed to show everyone that we are stronger so we dropped two nuclear bombs on two civil cities, so there would be no questions left. Yes, 200 000 people got killed-but it was worth it.
When everything was over, the problem appeared – the Russians. The only civilization that was claiming to be the super power just like we did. Besides they had nuclear weapon.
It was unreal to get them by force and we had another strategy, but later about that.
Let’s come back to Europe.
The biggest problem for us in Europe was the problem of their ancient culture and history. We vanished it with mass culture.
Do you remember how rock-n-roll appeared? Yes, these great guys sang about love and freedom.
Do you remember sexual revolution and hippies?
It’s naïve to think that it all appeared by itself. Just there were a lot of young and talented people. Oh, those young and talented-always cause problems- the main engine of the revolution.
Back then we created the first social virus – a plan for fast self-destruction.
Live fast - die young!
We made up a fairy-tale about freedom and rights. No, we didn’t make it up, we used it. A fairy-tale about democracy.
What freedoms? What rights? What democracy?
They don’t fucking exist! Our interests- that’s the only thing that matters!
It’s us who decide who is free and democratic and who is not. We don’t care who thinks what.
The development of mass media had let us to control practically all information flow. We needed to make new reason to live for peasants, the one that would give us maximum profit- we created a consumer society.
A society in which a chase after absolute waste had become a meaning of life. A man gets born, then goes to school, works, settles down to married life, raises kids, gets old and then dies. We control his actions on every life stage and in all life spheres.
Mass culture- a culture of simple instincts and screwed up values gave us an opportunity to control minds of people and dissolve lifestyle of many nations. Europeans and Russians don’t want to have families and bear children anymore. Many don’t give a shit where they are from, what is their history and who is in charge. Their cities are crowded with immigrants, who will soon hound them out of their territories and it will become second America- a country without history.
Freedom? Don’t give me that shit!
Freedom today is a choice between different kinds of soap and car brand. People earn money then spend it-all that
