Cai
Rongsheng,
Director of student admissions at
Renmin
University, has attempted to flee with a forged passport.
He was caught at
Shenzhen customs. The news
was widely reported on mainstream media outlets.
Reports said Cai confessed that he embezzled hundreds
of million of yuan, by using the names on enrolment.
Commentators say that the
Chinese Communist
Party (
CCP) destroyed traditional
Chinese culture.
This is the leading cause behind repeated
scandals being revealed at educational institutes.
On
November 27, the
Legal Evening News, a Beijing-based
newspaper reported that Cai Rongsheng has been arrested.
Cai is now under investigation.
The news was confirmed by
Wang Jian,
Deputy Party Secretary at
Renmin University.
The news report said
Wang confirmed Cai was
currently being investigated by the authorities
Prior to this, rumors suggested Cai intended to travel
to
Canada via Shenzhen customs with a fake passport.
Customs control caught him. Sources indicate
that Cai confessed to an investigation unit.
He has been involved in embezzling hundreds
of millions of yuan during student enrollment.
He left a letter before he fled.
The letter revealed information on
Ji Baocheng's
corruption, a former dean of Renmin University.
In addition, Hu
Juan, former secretary to Ji, has been
dismissed, and requested to assist the investigation.
Ren Baiming, current affairs commentator:
"It is comparatively a small embezzlement.
Actually, the larger corruption is the collective
embezzlement from top to bottom level officials."
Ms. Mu, teacher,
Northeast Normal University: "Cai
used early enrollment as an excuse to take bribes.
He plundered so much money, showing that
it was not one or two people who participated.
Many people have been involved in the corruption.
It indicates that this is not an isolate"
Since
2010, many people posted complaints
online about Cai's enrolment corruption.
They said Cai had been involved in
malpractice in the university enrolment.
However, Cai has never been investigated.
On July 17,
2012, Cai was rewarded for
national model worker for employment.
As one of five winners voted by
Ministry
of Education, Cai received a reward.
The Nine Commentaries of the
Communist Party
was published by the US-based
Epoch Times.
It says that in order to seize, maintain and consolidate
its tyranny, the CCP needs to replace human nature with
its evil
Party nature, and replace
Chinese traditional culture
with its Party culture of "deceit, wickedness, and violence."
The CCP changed traditional outlooks on morality,
life and the world in all aspects of people's lives,
including their actions, thoughts, and lifestyles.
The former head of the CCP,
Jiang Zemin
launched the persecution of
Falun Gong in
1999.
Many practitioners, who follow the universal principles of
"
Truth,
Compassion,
Tolerance", were tortured to death.
They were sent to labor camps and had to flee their homes.
Jiang completely destroyed the foundation
of morality in the
Chinese society, resulting
in people being occupied with making money.
Whether it is higher educational institutions or primary
schools, corruption has been repeatedly revealed.
This includes incidents of academic plagiarism,
deception, misuse of funds, and sex scandals.
For example,
Chen Yingxu,
Vice President at the
School
of Environmental and
Resource Sciences of
Zhejiang
University, told students to make fake receipts and contracts.
This was in order to seize tens of millions
of yuan of research fees for his own pocket.
Ji Yuhua,
President of the
Foreign Language Institute
at
Xiamen University, had an affair with a 27 year old
female teacher, who cam from a
Chongqing school.
The teacher came to Xiamen University
and intended to jump off the building.
Ren Baiming: "
People's morality has declined as a whole,
with making money and personal gain becoming their priority.
Particularly at higher educational institutes, which
should be educating students to behave well.
Now, corruption has started from
these schools, from these teachers."
Ms Mu: "People's morality and
concepts of values are distorted.
The CCP's destruction of traditional Chinese culture and
long-term brainwashing education are the leading cause."
Ren Baiming says that in many places in
China, the
regime encourages the schools to finance themselves.
They are to rely on the students to fund the teachers.
Thus, many teachers' livelihoods have no protection.
They try all means to make money.
Actually, these problems are caused by
loopholes in management, and in the system
Commentators observe that now deans and school leaders
