Patthar Ke Sanam is a 1967 Hindi movie. Produced by the Nadiadwala's the film is directed by Raja Nawathe. It stars Manoj Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Pran, Mehmood, Lalita Pawar and Aruna Irani. The Movie composed of many hit songs of the era, by the legendary Laxmikant Pyarelal and veteran lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri, such as the ever-haunting Patthar Ke Sanam rendered in the voice of Mohammad Rafi. Cast : Manoj Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Mehmood, Pran & Aruna Irani STORY : The story revolves around two friends Meena and Taruna, played by Mumtaz and Waheeda Rehman respectively. Meena lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her widowed dad, Thakur, in a small town in India. Taruna is her assistant as well as her best friend. When Meena's dad hires a new manager, Rajesh(played by Manoj Kumar) she and Taruna, decide to tease him and make him believe that both are in love with him. He finds out and pretends that he has fallen in love with both. As a result both women end up falling in love with him for real, with the Thakur ready to permit Meena to wed him. Acrimony is created between Meena and Taruna when Meena makes it clear that she wants Rajesh for herself as well. She also reminds Taruna that her marriage had already been finalized with their contractor, Lala Bhagatram, when Taruna was a child. Lala Bhagatram is a very asty man, played by Pran, who keeps reminding Aruna in public that he will marry apher as per the childhood promise. Then Rajesh is assaulted by some men and his mother, Shanti, (played by Lalita Pawar) looks after him. When Thakur sees her he remembers that he had murdered her husband for all the wealth. Shanti hassles I a secret which is that Meena is actually her daughter and Rajesh is Thakur's son. She wants them to get married so that she can be the owner of all the wealth again. Shanti begs Taruna to go away from Rajesh or else her plan will fail. Taruna agrees and pretends she doesn't live Rajesh. Rajesh loves only Taruna and is emotionally hurt. Taruna can't take this anymore and decides to kill herself. A character played by Mehmood- a childish mentally challenged person reveals that she is not dead but Lala Bhagatram has kept her in captivity. Rajesh goes and fights all the goons including Lala Bhagatram but is beaten by them. Aruna Irani and Waheeda are transferred somewhere else with someone watching them constantly. Aruna Irani tied hands are freed by Waheeda by cleverly avoiding the watchful eye. Aruna Irani jumps the window and informs Rajesh. Rajesh goes and frees Taruna. In this fighting, Mumtaz dies, Pran is killed by Thakur and Thakur is taken in custody. Lalita Pawar wants to leave but Rajeshand Taruna insist that she stays with them. Mehmood and Aruna Irni marry as well. Happy ending.

Plot
Om Prakash Makhija is a Junior Artiste in Bollywood, who is infatuated with actress Shantipriya, and hopes to marry her someday. His hopes come to reality when he rescues her from a fire and they go on a date. Shortly thereafter he finds out that she is married to a film producer, Mukesh Mehra, and is expecting his child. He then watches in horror as Mukesh, after luring her in an abandoned studio, sets it afire. Om attempts to rescue her in vain, and he eventually is killed. 30 years later, Om is reborn as the only son of yesteryear Bollywood actor, Rajesh Kapoor, and is himself an actor. His memories start to return when he meets with his widowed mother, Bela, from his previous birth. He also meets with Mukesh and together they decide to make a movie 'Om Shanti Om'. Om then hires a look-alike of Shantipriya, and hopes to force a confession out of Mukesh - but things go awry and Om finds his life endangered once again.

Patthar Ke Sanam is a 1967 Hindi movie. Produced by the Nadiadwala's the film is directed by Raja Nawathe. It stars Manoj Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Pran, Mehmood, Lalita Pawar and Aruna Irani. The Movie composed of many hit songs of the era, by the legendary Laxmikant Pyarelal and veteran lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri, such as the ever-haunting Patthar Ke Sanam rendered in the voice of Mohammad Rafi.

STORY :
The story revolves around two friends Meena and Taruna, played by Mumtaz and Waheeda Rehman respectively. Meena lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her widowed dad, Thakur, in a small town in India. Taruna is her assistant as well as her best friend. When Meena's dad hires a new manager, Rajesh(played by Manoj Kumar) she and Taruna, decide to tease him and make him believe that both are in love with him. He finds out and pretends that he has fallen in love with both. As a result both women end up falling in love with him for real, with the Thakur ready to permit Meena to wed him. Acrimony is created between Meena and Taruna when Meena makes it clear that she wants Rajesh for herself as well. She also reminds Taruna that her marriage had already been finalized with their contractor, Lala Bhagatram, when Taruna was a child. Lala Bhagatram is a very asty man, played by Pran, who keeps reminding Aruna in public that he will marry apher as per the childhood promise. Then Rajesh is assaulted by some men and his mother, Shanti, (played by Lalita Pawar) looks after him. When Thakur sees her he remembers that he had murdered her husband for all the wealth. Shanti hassles I a secret which is that Meena is actually her daughter and Rajesh is Thakur's son. She wants them to get married so that she can be the owner of all the wealth again. Shanti begs Taruna to go away from Rajesh or else her plan will fail. Taruna agrees and pretends she doesn't live Rajesh. Rajesh loves only Taruna and is emotionally hurt. Taruna can't take this anymore and decides to kill herself. A character played by Mehmood- a childish mentally challenged person reveals that she is not dead but Lala Bhagatram has kept her in captivity. Rajesh goes and fights all the goons including Lala Bhagatram but is beaten by them. Aruna Irani and Waheeda are transferred somewhere else with someone watching them constantly. Aruna Irani tied hands are freed by Waheeda by cleverly avoiding the watchful eye. Aruna Irani jumps the window and informs Rajesh. Rajesh goes and frees Taruna. In this fighting, Mumtaz dies, Pran is killed by Thakur and Thakur is taken in custody. Lalita Pawar wants to leave but Rajeshand Taruna insist that she stays with them. Mehmood and Aruna Irni marry as well. Happy ending.

Synopsis : Vikas (Manoj Kumar) comes from a poor family, and is attending college so that he can complete his studies, get a job, and look after himself and his dad. He meets with wealthy Asha (Asha Parekh) at this college, and after a few misunderstandings, both fall in love. Vikas' dad passes away during the exams. Because Vikas leaves to attend the funeral, he is unable to complete his studies. Asha feels sorry for him and arranges to get him employed with her dad, without telling Vikas about it. Asha's dad wants her to get married to Ashwini (Pran), and he soon announces their engagement.
Ashwini finds out that Asha is in love with Vikas, and arranges an accident for Vikas. Vikas survives the accident, but loses his eyesight. After this incident, Vikas does not want to burden Asha, and strikes up a new friendship with Dr. Anjali (Simi Grewal). Meanwhile, Ashwini informs Asha that Vikas has died in the accident. Asha loses interest in life after listening to the news of Vikas's death. Ashwini then meets Vikas and requests him to convince Asha that he does not love her any more. Vikas agrees and convinces Asha that he is having an affair with Dr. Anjali. Asha marries Ashwini but refuses to live with him in the same room.
Vikas starts singing to earn money. Dr. Anjali asks him to get an eye operation, but Vikas refuses. One day Dr. Anjali visits Asha and requests her to persuade Vikas for the operation. While Asha is asking Vikas to undergo the operation, Ashwini takes her away and locks her in a room. She feels suicidal.
One day Asha's uncle goes to meet her and feels saddened by her condition. He takes her to her father's home. Within three days, Asha becomes sick and doctors are unable to do anything for her. Meanwhile, Vikas's eye operation is successful. Ashwini apologizes to Asha. He goes to Vikas and tells him about Asha's condition. Vikas and Ashwini go to Asha. She dies after taking one look at Vikas. He is not able to bear that and also dies. Both of them reunite after their death.

Prior to his selection, during his Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, the interviewer asked him, "Why do you want to join the Army?" He immediately replied, "I want to win the Param Vir Chakra." True to his words, Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey did win the country's highest gallantry honour but posthumously.
He forced back the intruders on June 11, 1999 at Batalik Sector in the Kargil War. He led his men to capture the Jubar top which was considered as important due to its strategic location. Quickly sizing up the situation, the young officer led his platoon along a narrow, treacherous ridge that led to the enemy position. While still short of the objective, the enemy fired upon the Indian soldiers effectively stalling the Indian attack. Displaying great courage, he surged ahead of his troops and charged at the enemy
Although wounded in the shoulder and leg, he pressed on his solitary charge with grim determination, until he closed in on the first bunker. Then in ferocious hand-to-hand combat, he killed two of the enemy and cleared the first bunker. It was the turning point. Inspired by their leader's spontaneous valour, the troops charged at the enemy and fell upon them. Unmindful of his grievous wounds, he rushed from bunker to bunker urging his men on. Critically injured, he collapsed at the final bunker and finally succumbed to his injuries. But by this time he had already captured the bunker with his men.

Prior to his selection, during his Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, the interviewer asked him, "Why do you want to join the Army?" He immediately replied, "I want to win the Param Vir Chakra." True to his words, Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey did win the country's highest gallantry honour but posthumously. He forced back the intruders on June 11, 1999 at Batalik Sector in the Kargil War. He led his men to capture the Jubar top which was considered as important due to its strategic location. Quickly sizing up the situation, the young officer led his platoon along a narrow, treacherous ridge that led to the enemy position. While still short of the objective, the enemy fired upon the Indian soldiers effectively stalling the Indian attack. Displaying great courage, he surged ahead of his troops and charged at the enemy Although wounded in the shoulder and leg, he pressed on his solitary charge with grim determination, until he closed in on the first bunker. Then in ferocious hand-to-hand combat, he killed two of the enemy and cleared the first bunker. It was the turning point. Inspired by their leader's spontaneous valour, the troops charged at the enemy and fell upon them. Unmindful of his grievous wounds, he rushed from bunker to bunker urging his men on. Critically injured, he collapsed at the final bunker and finally succumbed to his injuries. Manoj Kumar (born Harikrishna Giri Goswami on 24 July 1937) is an award-winning Indian actor and director in the Bollywood film industry. He is known for acting in and directing films with patriotic themes, and has been given the nickname "Mr Bharat" (Bhaarat is the Hindi term for India). In 1992, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
Manoj Kumar was born in Abbottabad, a town of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, then part of India. Abbottabad is now located within the borders of Pakistan. His original name was Harikishan Giri Goswami. When he was 10, his Gosain Hindu family had to move to Delhi owing to partition. His family lived as refugees in Vijay Nagar, Kingsway Camp and later moved to Patel Nagar area of New Delhi.
After graduating from Hindu College, University of Delhi, he decided to enter the film industry.
As a youth, he admired Bollywood superstar Dilip Kumar, and decided to name himself Manoj Kumar after Dilip's character in Shabnam (1949).
After making a little-noticed début in Fashion in 1957, Manoj landed his first leading role in Kaanch Ki Gudia (1960) opposite Sayeeda Khan. Piya Milan Ki Aas and Reshmi Roomal followed, setting the stage for the Vijay Bhatt-directed Hariyali Aur Raasta (1962) opposite Mala Sinha. Kumar then appeared with Sadhana in Raj Khosla's Woh Kaun Thi (1964), and reunited with Vijay Bhatt and Mala Sinha in Himalaya Ki God Mein (1965).
