Kala Ghoda (Marathi: काळा घोडा) is a precinct or district in South Mumbai, India.

The name means Black Horse, a reference to a black stone statue of King Edward VII (as the then Prince of Wales) mounted on a horse. It was built by the Jewish businessman and philanthropist Albert Abdullah David Sassoon. Although this statue was removed in 1965 to storehouses of the Bhau Daji Lad Museum (formerly the Victoria & Albert Museum (Mumbai)) in Byculla, Central Mumbai, the name persists. The statue is now in the Jijamata Udyan in Byculla.

A reprint of a photograph of the district showing the statue in position is to be seen framed over the entrance to the elevator in the Commerce House building located between Ropewalk Street and Meadows Street (Nagindas Master Road), just off V.B. Gandhi Road.

Today, the district is Mumbai's premier art district, and has the The Arts Trust - Institute of Contemporary Indian Art. Each year, the area hosts a cultural festival promoting the arts. The offices of noted art publication, Marg, established by Mulk Raj Anand in 1946, are also situated in the third floor of the historic Army & Navy Building.

Amit Trivedi (Hindi: अमित त्रिवेदी) is an Indian film composer, musician, singer and lyricist, working in Bollywood. He is a Gujarati. After working as a theater and jingle composer and composing for non-film albums, he debuted as a film composer in the 2008 Hindi film Aamir, and shot to fame in the Hindi film music scene with his critically acclaimed work in the more popular Dev.D (2009), which earned him several accolades, including the 2010 National Film Award for Best Music Direction for Dev.D.

In his younger days, an electronic musical instrument fascinated Trivedi and he was slowly drawn towards music, mainly influenced by classical music. At 19-20, he began composing music. In college days joined the band Om, who performed at local gigs, small shows and live performances. They struck gold when Times Music took notice at one of their shows, and offered to launch their album. The album however did not fare well, due to lack of promotion. Eventually Trivedi went on to compose for theatre (Hindi, English and Gujarati plays), background music for television shows, live performances, dandiya shows, orchestras etc. He also had a brief stint composing advertisement jingles, for brands such as McDonalds and Airtel. After sound engineer and Audio Garage Recording Studio owner Arvind Vishwakarma introduced Trivedi to Sony BMG, he began composing music for non-film albums. As a part of his two year contract, Trivedi composed some tracks for Abhijeet Sawant’s Junoon and one song in Prashant Tamang's debut album.He arranged for many musician including Amartya Rahut for a marathi movie Uttarayan in 2004.

Raveena Tandon (born 26 October 1974) is an Indian actress, producer, and a former model. She has primarily worked in Bollywood films, though she appeared in a few Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films as well.

Tandon made her acting debut with Patthar Ke Phool (1991), and won a Filmfare Lux New Face Award for her performance in the film. During the 90s, she was part of several commercial successes such as Mohra (1994), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996) and Ziddi (1997), among others. Despite attaining popularity, she was not particularly recognised as an actor. This however changed in the early 2000s, when she ventured into more serious roles and turned towards arthouse and parallel cinema. She got high critical acclaim for her performances in films like Aks (2001) and Satta (2003), and had the peak of her career in 2002, when she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kalpana Lajmi's Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence (2001).

She recently turned into TV host with her new chat show, Isi Ka Naam Zindagi (2012).

Lisa Haydon was born as Elisabeth Marie Haydon on 17 June 1986 to a Malayali father and an Australian mother. She was born in Chennai, India and has been living in Australia and United States before moving back to India in 2007 to pursue modeling. She is the sister of Model Mallika Haydon, who has done two item songs in saif ali khan's upcoming film Agent Vinod. one named as " I'll do the talking " and the other " pyaar ki pungi ".

Lisa wanted to be a yoga teacher at the age of 18. Studying psychology on the side, she took up her friends' suggestion of taking up modeling to earn money and pay for the classes and rent. She started modeling in Australia with her first assignment being for stretch mark cream. Encouraged by her sister's modeling acts in India, she moved to India in 2007 to pursue a modeling career there. In India, she has walked the ramp for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) and HDIL-India Couture Week(HDIL-ICW). She is also the face of giant Lakmé.
