José Francisco de Guadalupe Mojica (San Gabriel, 14 de septiembre de 1896 - Lima, 20 de septiembre 1974), también conocido en el ámbito religioso franciscano como Fray José de Guadalupe Mojica, fue un destacado actor y tenor mexicano.
José Mojica nació en San Gabriel Jalisco en 1896. A la muerte poco más tarde de su padre, emigró su madre con él a la Ciudad de México, donde ingresó en el colegio Saint Marie, continuando estudios luego en la Escuela Elemental No 3, y posteriormente en el Colegio de San Ildefonso ubicado en el centro de la ciudad. Sus anhelos de estudiar en la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura se vieron truncados al ser cerrada ésta por el estallido de la Revolución Mexicana. Es durante este lapso que se dedica a estudiar canto en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música bajo la batuta del maestro José Pierson, -máxima autoridad del bel-canto de aquellos años, descubridor de Pedro Vargas, Juan Arvízu, Hugo Avendaño y el Dr. Alfonso Ortiz Tirado- quien le aconseja abrazar esa nueva vocación. A base de esforzado trabajo y vocalización consigue debutar como cantante tenor en el Teatro Ideal. Después participa en la puesta en escena de la obra El Barbero de Sevilla, el 5 de octubre de 1916,en el Teatro Arbeu (hoy Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada), donde logra su consagración ante el público. La incipiente ambición le llevó a emigrar a los Estados Unidos de América, estableciéndose en Nueva York, en donde comenzó a buscar audiciones al tiempo que para su subsistencia trabajaba como lavaplatos en un restaurante. La oportunidad le llegó al integrarse a una compañía de teatro llevando la interpretación de papeles secundarios.Es allí donde conoce al gran compositor cubano Ernesto Lecuona, quien al descubir su talento lo lleva a Holywood para cantar en la pelicula "La Cruz y la Espada", en 1934, seguidamente lo presenta en La Habana e interpreta obras como "Canto Siboney", "Siempre en mi corazón" y la romanza "María La O" paginas que dejó grabadas para la RCA Victor.
Otra gran oportunidad surgió al ser reconocido por el famoso cantante Enrico Caruso, quien al escucharle le encauzó hacia la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago. Siguiendo la recomendación de Caruso complementó su preparación en los idiomas inglés, francés e italiano además de equitación, danza y atletismo. La prueba de fuego para José se presentó al debutar al lado de la gigantesca diva escocesa Mary Garden, que era directora de la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago, durante la puesta en escena de la obra Pelléas et Mélisande de Claude Debussy en la Metropolitan Opera House logrando un éxito enorme en el papel de Pelléas. Ya consagrado en el ambiente operístico, alternó con grandes figuras como Lily Pons y Amelita Galli-Curci, es invitado por el sello "Edison" para grabar discos de canto operístico y canciones tradicionales de México. A raíz de la creciente fama es invitado a incursionar en el cine de Hollywood donde debutó en el filme de James Tinling "One Mad Kiss" alternando con Antonio Moreno. Su estadía en los sets fílmicos americanos se prolongó hasta 1938, cuando ya convertido en gran figura del cine, a la altura de Nelson Eddy o Howard Keel, decide regresar a México continuando su actividad artística. Continuó filmando en México, donde "El Capitán Aventurero" (1938) eleva su notoriedad en el medio artístico mexicano. La gran fama desarrollada le permitió adquirir La Antigua Villa Santa Mónica en San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México para regalársela a su madre, quien la habita desde 1930 hasta su muerte en 1940.
Precisamente, la muerte de su madre le lleva a una depresión de la cual surge el anhelo de cambiar drásticamente el rumbo de su vida, y consagrar su vida a la religión. Él mismo en alguna ocasión declaró que la decisión también fue influenciada por una aparición de Teresita de Jesús quien le encomendo seguir los pasos de la religión. En fin, indudablemente la muerte de su madre operó en él un cambio. Y esto propició un alejamiento relativo de los escenarios, inclusive del cine, y que el afamado cantante y actor se deshiciera de todas su propiedades y pertenencias. Es significativa su participación en el filme argentino "Melodías de América", donde su interpretación de la canción "Solamente una vez" muestra indicios de su inminente decisión. En el año de 1942 ingresa al seminario Franciscano de Cuzco en Perú adoptando el nombre de Fray José de Guadalupe Mojica, después se traslada al monasterio de San Antonio de la Recoleta, culminando con su ordenación como sacerdote en 1947 en el templo Máximo de San Francisco de Jesús en la misma ciudad de Lima Perú. No obstante dicho acontecimiento no significó el fin de su trayectoria, ya que la fama le ayudó a reunir fondos para la instauración de un seminario en Arequipa, recorriendo Argentina y otros países mas. José Mojica (1951)
José Francisco de Guadalupe Mojica (San Gabriel, 14 de septiembre de 1896 - Lima, 20 de septiembre 1974), también conocido en el ámbito religioso franciscano como Fray José de Guadalupe Mojica, fue un destacado actor y tenor mexicano.
José Mojica nació en San Gabriel Jalisco en 1896. A la muerte poco más tarde de su padre, emigró su madre con él a la Ciudad de México, donde ingresó en el colegio Saint Marie, continuando estudios luego en la Escuela Elemental No 3, y posteriormente en el Colegio de San Ildefonso ubicado en el centro de la ciudad. Sus anhelos de estudiar en la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura se vieron truncados al ser cerrada ésta por el estallido de la Revolución Mexicana. Es durante este lapso que se dedica a estudiar canto en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música bajo la batuta del maestro José Pierson, -máxima autoridad del bel-canto de aquellos años, descubridor de Pedro Vargas, Juan Arvízu, Hugo Avendaño y el Dr. Alfonso Ortiz Tirado- quien le aconseja abrazar esa nueva vocación. A base de esforzado trabajo y vocalización consigue debutar como cantante tenor en el Teatro Ideal. Después participa en la puesta en escena de la obra El Barbero de Sevilla, el 5 de octubre de 1916,en el Teatro Arbeu (hoy Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada), donde logra su consagración ante el público. La incipiente ambición le llevó a emigrar a los Estados Unidos de América, estableciéndose en Nueva York, en donde comenzó a buscar audiciones al tiempo que para su subsistencia trabajaba como lavaplatos en un restaurante. La oportunidad le llegó al integrarse a una compañía de teatro llevando la interpretación de papeles secundarios.Es allí donde conoce al gran compositor cubano Ernesto Lecuona, quien al descubir su talento lo lleva a Holywood para cantar en la pelicula "La Cruz y la Espada", en 1934, seguidamente lo presenta en La Habana e interpreta obras como "Canto Siboney", "Siempre en mi corazón" y la romanza "María La O" paginas que dejó grabadas para la RCA Victor.
Otra gran oportunidad surgió al ser reconocido por el famoso cantante Enrico Caruso, quien al escucharle le encauzó hacia la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago. Siguiendo la recomendación de Caruso complementó su preparación en los idiomas inglés, francés e italiano además de equitación, danza y atletismo. La prueba de fuego para José se presentó al debutar al lado de la gigantesca diva escocesa Mary Garden, que era directora de la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago, durante la puesta en escena de la obra Pelléas et Mélisande de Claude Debussy en la Metropolitan Opera House logrando un éxito enorme en el papel de Pelléas. Ya consagrado en el ambiente operístico, alternó con grandes figuras como Lily Pons y Amelita Galli-Curci, es invitado por el sello "Edison" para grabar discos de canto operístico y canciones tradicionales de México. A raíz de la creciente fama es invitado a incursionar en el cine de Hollywood donde debutó en el filme de James Tinling "One Mad Kiss" alternando con Antonio Moreno. Su estadía en los sets fílmicos americanos se prolongó hasta 1938, cuando ya convertido en gran figura del cine, a la altura de Nelson Eddy o Howard Keel, decide regresar a México continuando su actividad artística. Continuó filmando en México, donde "El Capitán Aventurero" (1938) eleva su notoriedad en el medio artístico mexicano. José Francisco de Guadalupe Mojica (San Gabriel, 14 de septiembre de 1896 - Lima, 20 de septiembre 1974), también conocido en el ámbito religioso franciscano como Fray José de Guadalupe Mojica, fue un destacado actor y tenor mexicano.
José Mojica nació en San Gabriel Jalisco en 1896. A la muerte poco más tarde de su padre, emigró su madre con él a la Ciudad de México, donde ingresó en el colegio Saint Marie, continuando estudios luego en la Escuela Elemental No 3, y posteriormente en el Colegio de San Ildefonso ubicado en el centro de la ciudad. Sus anhelos de estudiar en la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura se vieron truncados al ser cerrada ésta por el estallido de la Revolución Mexicana. Es durante este lapso que se dedica a estudiar canto en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música bajo la batuta del maestro José Pierson, -máxima autoridad del bel-canto de aquellos años, descubridor de Pedro Vargas, Juan Arvízu, Hugo Avendaño y el Dr. Alfonso Ortiz Tirado- quien le aconseja abrazar esa nueva vocación. A base de esforzado trabajo y vocalización consigue debutar como cantante tenor en el Teatro Ideal. Después participa en la puesta en escena de la obra El Barbero de Sevilla, el 5 de octubre de 1916,en el Teatro Arbeu (hoy Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada), donde logra su consagración ante el público. La incipiente ambición le llevó a emigrar a los Estados Unidos de América, estableciéndose en Nueva York, en donde comenzó a buscar audiciones al tiempo que para su subsistencia trabajaba como lavaplatos en un restaurante. La oportunidad le llegó al integrarse a una compañía de teatro llevando la interpretación de papeles secundarios.Es allí donde conoce al gran compositor cubano Ernesto Lecuona, quien al descubir su talento lo lleva a Holywood para cantar en la pelicula "La Cruz y la Espada", en 1934, seguidamente lo presenta en La Habana e interpreta obras como "Canto Siboney", "Siempre en mi corazón" y la romanza "María La O" paginas que dejó grabadas para la RCA Victor.
Otra gran oportunidad surgió al ser reconocido por el famoso cantante Enrico Caruso, quien al escucharle le encauzó hacia la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago. Siguiendo la recomendación de Caruso complementó su preparación en los idiomas inglés, francés e italiano además de equitación, danza y atletismo. La prueba de fuego para José se presentó al debutar al lado de la gigantesca diva escocesa Mary Garden, que era directora de la Compañía de Ópera de Chicago, durante la puesta en escena de la obra Pelléas et Mélisande de Claude Debussy en la Metropolitan Opera House logrando un éxito enorme en el papel de Pelléas. Ya consagrado en el ambiente operístico, alternó con grandes figuras como Lily Pons y Amelita Galli-Curci, es invitado por el sello "Edison" para grabar discos de canto operístico y canciones tradicionales de México. A raíz de la creciente fama es invitado a incursionar en el cine de Hollywood donde debutó en el filme de James Tinling "One Mad Kiss" alternando con Antonio Moreno. Su estadía en los sets fílmicos americanos se prolongó hasta 1938, cuando ya convertido en gran figura del cine, a la altura de Nelson Eddy o Howard Keel, decide regresar a México continuando su actividad artística. Continuó filmando en México, donde "El Capitán Aventurero" (1938) eleva su notoriedad en el medio artístico mexicano. La gran fama desarrollada le permitió adquirir La Antigua Villa Santa Mónica en San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México para regalársela a su madre, quien la habita desde 1930 hasta su muerte en 1940.
Precisamente, la muerte de su madre le lleva a una depresión de la cual surge el anhelo de cambiar drásticamente el rumbo de su vida, y consagrar su vida a la religión. Él mismo en alguna ocasión declaró que la decisión también fue influenciada por una aparición de Teresita de Jesús quien le encomendo seguir los pasos de la religión. En fin, indudablemente la muerte de su madre operó en él un cambio. Y esto propició un alejamiento relativo de los escenarios, inclusive del cine, y que el afamado cantante y actor se deshiciera de todas su propiedades y pertenencias. Es significativa su participación en el filme argentino "Melodías de América", donde su interpretación de la canción "Solamente una vez" muestra indicios de su inminente decisión. En el año de 1942 ingresa al seminario Franciscano de Cuzco en Perú adoptando el nombre de Fray José de Guadalupe Mojica, después se traslada al monasterio de San Antonio de la Recoleta, culminando con su ordenación como sacerdote en 1947 en el templo Máximo de San Francisco de Jesús en la misma ciudad de Lima Perú. No obstante dicho acontecimiento no significó el fin de su trayectoria, ya que la fama le ayudó a reunir fondos para la instauración de un seminario en Arequipa, recorriendo Argentina y otros países mas. Harold Clifford Keel (April 13, 1919 – November 7, 2004), known professionally as Howard Keel, was an American actor and singer. He starred in many film musicals of the 1950s. He is best known to modern audiences for his starring role in the CBS television series Dallas (1981-1991)as Clayton Farlow, opposite Barbara Bel Geddes's character, but to an earlier generation, he was known as the star of some of the most famous MGM film musicals ever made, with a rich baritone singing voice.
Keel was born Harold Clifford Keel in Gillespie, Illinois, to Navyman-turned-coalminer Homer Keel and his wife, Grace Osterkamp Keel. (It is often erroneously stated—by the MGM publicity department of the 1950s—that Keel's birth name was Harold Leek).
Young Harold spent his childhood in poverty. One of his teachers, Miss Rosa Burke, noticed one day that he was not eating his lunch. From that day forward, Miss Burke would pack two lunches - one for herself and one for Harold. When he became famous and would perform near Gillespie, Burke always received tickets to attend his performances.

Kathryn Grayson (February 9, 1922 - February 17, 2010) was an American actress and operatic soprano singer.
From the age of twelve, Grayson trained as an opera singer. She was under contract to MGM by the early 1940s, soon establishing a career principally through her work in musicals. After several supporting roles, she was a lead performer in such films as Thousands Cheer (1943), Anchors Aweigh (1945) with Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly, and Show Boat (1951) and Kiss Me Kate (1953) (both with Howard Keel).
When film musical production declined, she worked in theatre, appearing in Camelot (1962–1964). Later in the decade she performed in several operas, including La bohème, Madama Butterfly, Orpheus in the Underworld and La traviata.
She was born Zelma Kathryn Elisabeth Hedrick in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the daughter of Charles E. Hedrick and Lillian Grayson Hedrick (1897–1955). Charles was a building contractor-realtor.
Lillian was of British descent and Charles was of German and Sicilian descent.

Patricia Goosey O’Connor (born 2 October 1940) is the founder of Fashion Careers College (FCC) in San Diego, California.
O’Connor has been an educator since 1963 when she graduated from San Diego State University and began teaching for the San Diego Unified School District. A native of San Diego who left for one year to teach for the Berkeley Unified School District in 1965, she returned to San Diego to continue her career with the San Diego Unified School District. Taking a break from her full-time teaching duties at San Diego Unified, she decided to take a part-time position at Patricia Stevens Modeling School to initiate a new fashion merchandising program offered for the first time at the school. She continued there for nine years as director and instructor of the certificate program in fashion merchandising, before founding her own college in 1979. Fashion Careers College was founded in San Diego in January 1979 in a location in Mission Valley In 1984, FCC moved into its new and present location at 1923 Morena Boulevard in San Diego.

Katherine "Kate" Hardwicke Howard (born Constanza "Connie" Louise Falconeri) is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. The character was introduced to the show in May 2007, and was portrayed by Megan Ward since the character's introduction. Ward last appeared on-screen on October 20, 2010. After several months of a rumored re-cast, Kelly Sullivan took over the role of Kate Howard as a recast on September 12, 2011.
Upon first introduction, Kate Howard is approximately 35 years old and famous for being the editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine, similar to the character of Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. Her history is told through bits of dialogue, primarily between her and the character Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard. Through these glimpses, it is revealed Kate Howard was born Constanza "Connie" Louise Falconeri. She was raised in Bensonhurst, New York, to an Italian American family, where she worked at a bakery and attended Sacred Heart Catholic school in Brooklyn, New York.

Martha Jane Canary (May 1, 1856 – August 1, 1903), better known as Calamity Jane, was an American frontierswoman, and professional scout best known for her claim of being an acquaintance of Wild Bill Hickok, but also for having gained fame fighting Native Americans. She is said to have also exhibited kindness and compassion, especially to the sick and needy. This contrast helped to make her a famous and infamous frontier figure.
Calamity Jane was born May 1, 1852, as Martha Jane Cannary (or Canary) in Princeton, Missouri, within Mercer County. Her parents, Robert W. and Charlotte Cannary, were listed in the 1860 census as living about 7 miles (11 km) further northeast of Princeton in Ravanna. Martha Jane was the eldest of six children, having two brothers and three sisters. In 1865, Robert packed his family and moved by wagon train from Missouri to Virginia City, Montana. Charlotte died along the way in Black Foot, Montana, in 1866 of "washtub pneumonia." After arriving in Virginia City in the spring of 1866, Robert took his six children on to Salt Lake City, Utah. They arrived in the summer, and Robert supposedly started farming on 40 acres (160,000 m2) of land. They were there only a year before he died in 1867. Martha Jane took over as head of the family, loaded up the wagon once more, and took her siblings to Fort Bridger, Wyoming Territory. They arrived in May 1868. From there they traveled on the Union Pacific Railroad to Piedmont, Wyoming.
