Dan Patch
Dan Patch (April 29, 1896 – July 11, 1916) was the outstanding pacer of his day. Dan Patch broke world speed records at least 14 times in the early 1900s, finally setting the world's record for the fastest mile by a harness horse (1m:55s) during a time trial in 1906, a record that stood unmatched for 32 years.
Life
Dan Patch was a brown Standardbred stallion sired by Joe Patchen, and out of Zelica who was by Wilkesberry. Dan Patch was foaled on 29 April 1896, in a barn in the town of Oxford, Indiana. He was named for his owner, Daniel (Dan) Messner, and his sire, Joe Patchen. The young horse showed little promise in his first year, but a local trainer named Johnny Wattles saw potential in the animal. Wattles received permission from Messner to train Dan Patch and developed the horse's racing abilities until 1902, when Messner sold the horse to Manley E. Sturges of New York, for a record $20,000. Sturges, in turn, sold Dan Patch later that year to a resident of the city of Hamilton (later Savage) in Minnesota, named Marion Willis Savage. Dan Patch lived in Minnesota from 1902 until his death on 11 July 1916.

STORY
After the defeat of Archimonde at Hellfire Citadel on the alternate timeline world of Draenor, Gul'dan is pushed through a portal to Azeroth of the main timeline in order to open a way for the Burning Legion to invade in far greater numbers than in the War of the Ancients thousands of years earlier. While exploring the hidden vaults of the Broken Isles, Gul'dan finds a dark crystalline prison containing the corpse of Illidan Stormrage, the former Lord of Outland, who was slain during the events of The Burning Crusade. The Archmage Khadgar, who helped lead the Alliance and Horde player characters against Gul'dan and the Iron Horde on the alternate Draenor, witnesses the return of the Burning Legion and flies to the city of Stormwind to warn King Varian Wrynn of the coming invasion. The player characters, together with the shunned demon hunters, must learn to master artifact weapons and relics of the Titans called the Pillars Of Creation located in the ancient Broken Isles that hold the power to stop the Legion's invasion.

The expansion allows players to level up to 110 in the Broken Isles, an increase from the cap of 100 in the previous expansion Warlords of Draenor. Initially, there were ten dungeons with patch 7.1 adding the revamped Karazhan dungeon and patch 7.2 will add the Sargeras-related dungeon Cathedral of the Eternal Night. STORY
After the defeat of Archimonde at Hellfire Citadel on the alternate timeline world of Draenor, Gul'dan is pushed through a portal to Azeroth of the main timeline in order to open a way for the Burning Legion to invade in far greater numbers than in the War of the Ancients thousands of years earlier. While exploring the hidden vaults of the Broken Isles, Gul'dan finds a dark crystalline prison containing the corpse of Illidan Stormrage, the former Lord of Outland, who was slain during the events of The Burning Crusade. The Archmage Khadgar, who helped lead the Alliance and Horde player characters against Gul'dan and the Iron Horde on the alternate Draenor, witnesses the return of the Burning Legion and flies to the city of Stormwind to warn King Varian Wrynn of the coming invasion. The player characters, together with the shunned demon hunters, must learn to master artifact weapons and relics of the Titans called the Pillars Of Creation located in the ancient Broken Isles that hold the power to stop the Legion's invasion.

A pacer, he became arguably America's first sports celebrity. Robert's great grandmother's brother, Thomas Eleazer Fenton, was the blacksmith who designed a special horseshoe that made the young Dan Patch a winner. Growing up in Pine Village, the same town where Tom and his forge helped an otherwise clumsy horse to victory, Robert heard several stories about Dan Patch, who was originally owned by Dan Messner of nearby Oxford. Robert even has Tom's original blacksmith sign! Here is a movie made from a 1909 booklet of photographs that, when riffled, made the horse, sulky, and driver (H. C. Hersey) come to life.
