Achurch (formerly Asenciran sometimes Thorpe Achurch) is a village in Northamptonshire, England. It was called Asechirce in the Domesday Book.
It is part of the civil parish of Lilford-cum-Wigsthorpe and Thorpe Achurch and the district of East Northamptonshire. It has lent its name to people's surnames who are believed to have originated from the village.
Robert Browne who had previously founded the Brownists, a forerunner of Congregationalism, was rector here 1591 - 1631.
The parish includes the Grade 1 listed home of Lilford Hall.
Mitch Achurch (born 14 July 1988) is a rugby league footballer who currently plays for Leeds in the Super League. His choice of position is Second-Row.
After previously playing lower grade football for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup, Achurch made his NRL debut in Round 4, 2012 against Parramatta Eels, playing for the Penrith Panthers, who went on to win the game 39 to 6. During August 2012, Achurch signed for Leeds Rhinos on a 4-year contract starting in the 2013 season.
Lord is an appellation for a person or deity who has authority, control, or power over others acting like a master, a chief, or a ruler. The appellation can also denote certain persons who hold a title of the peerage in the United Kingdom, or are entitled to courtesy titles. The collective "Lords" can refer to a group or body of peers.
According to the Oxford Dictionary of English, the etymology of the word can be traced back to the Old English word hlāford which originated from hlāfweard meaning "loaf-ward" or "bread keeper", reflecting the Germanic tribal custom of a chieftain providing food for his followers. The appellation "lord" is primarily applied to men, while for women the appellation "lady" is used. However, this is no longer universal: the Lord of Mann, a title currently held by the Queen of the United Kingdom, and female Lord Mayors are examples of women who are styled Lord.
Under the feudal system, "lord" had a wide, loose and varied meaning. An overlord was a person from whom a landholding or a manor was held by a mesne lord or vassal under various forms of feudal land tenure. The modern term "landlord" is a vestigial survival of this function. A liege lord was a person to whom a vassal owed sworn allegiance. Neither of these terms were titular dignities, but rather factual appellations, which described the relationship between two or more persons within the highly stratified feudal social system. For example, a man might be Lord of the Manor to his own tenants but also a vassal of his own overlord, who in turn was a vassal of the King. Where a knight was a lord of the manor, he was referred to in contemporary documents as "John (Surname), knight, lord of (manor name)". A feudal baron was a true titular dignity, with the right to attend Parliament, but a feudal baron, Lord of the Manor of many manors, was a vassal of the King.
Leeds Rhinos (known as Leeds until the end of the 1996 season, and also historically known as Leeds Loiners making reference to the name for a native of Leeds, a Loiner) are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, where they are the current Super League Leaders and Champions.
In 1895, Leeds were one of twenty-two rugby clubs which broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what is now the Rugby Football League. Leeds joined the Super League in 1996 and became Leeds Rhinos in 1997. The club is owned by the same company that owns Leeds Carnegie rugby union team.
Leeds have won thirteen Challenge Cups, ten League championships and three World Club Challenge titles.
In 1864, H. I. Jenkinson placed an advert in the Leeds Mercury inviting players to meet up at Woodhouse Moor a few days a week from 7 am to 8 am. That advert attracted more than 500 members. From this interest several clubs were formed, including Leeds St John's.

He has flunked the seventh grade twice and is tormented by Tony "Blade" Fowler (Joseph Perrino), a teenage gang leader. When Kevin is assigned as Max's reading tutor, they form a bond of friendship over the similar circumstances they share, such as both being outcasts and their fathers abandoning them (Kevin's dad heard the words "Birth Defect" and disappeared).

Take a tour of Harman Fortified Church in Harman, Romania -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. This church outside of Brasov, Romania is from a time when houses of worship were also places of refuge. Romania is a country that is home to many fortified churches, such as Harman's. The oldest parts of the Harman Fortified Church were built in the thirteenth century by Saxon colonists. Mostly in the fifteenth century, Baroque defensive structures, such as a curtain wall and towers, were added. These defenses were necessary, even on churches, because of threats of invasion from neighboring nations. Both as a fort and as a church, the Harman Church is an amazing place.
http://www.RealVacationCareers.com This is a video travel guide log to Rome and it's treasures. Come with us as we take you on a tour! The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter (Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri), officially known in Italian as Basilica Papale di San Pietro in Vaticano and commonly known as Saint Peter's Basilica, is a Late Renaissance church located within the Vatican City. While it is neither the official mother church of the Roman Catholic Church nor the cathedral of the Pope as Bishop of Rome, Saint Peter's is regarded as one of the holiest Catholic sites. It has been described as "holding a unique position in the Christian world" and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom". In Ro...
Travel video about destination Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Situated on the shores of the Bosporus, Istanbul is the only city in the world that is located on two continents, Europe and Asia. Within it, a historic and religious symbol rises up into the sky: the Hagia Sophia, for nearly a 1000 years the main church of former Constantinople.Legend has it that Constantine, founder of the New Rome, had previously built a church of ‘Holy Wisdom’ here in the fourth century A.D. Thus, the name of this church derives from the Greek. Although the first church, as well as a later building, were destroyed by fire, the Emperor Justinian erected a larger church in the year 532 AD, the church known today as Hagia Sophia. Throughout the centuries, Hagia Sophia served both as a church and a mosque but, due t...
Take a tour of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russian Federation -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. It looks more like a cluster of brightly colored hot air balloons than a cathedral. This is St. Basil's, or the "Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin By the Moat". This flamboyantly shaped and colored building is one of Russia's most important churches. The cathedral was started in 1555 as eight chapels built around a larger ninth. There have been several theories about the design of St. Basil's, but no certain answers. The cathedral has had several additions, and the whole church narrowly escaped destruction under Stalin. St. Basil's is no longer a church, it now operates as a museum.

It is difficult to believe that this lively, cosmopolitan city is under constant threat from earthquake, the only rumble being that of the famous cable cars as they vie up and down the city's hilly roads. A boat trip is a great way to see Fisherman's Wharf, various maritime museums, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, former home of Robert 'The Birdman' Stroud, Machine Gun Kelly and Al Capone. Built in 1776, San Francisco's first stone building, Mission Dolores, still stands today. Led by the Franciscan Padres, the Christianized Indians built a church, in the cemetery of which many of the city's original settlers were laid to rest. ...

Looking at my watch, it's almost two
Called me and said to get ready, you comin' through
Want your girl to spend a little time wit you
Boy, you must be buggin' 'cause now you got me rushin'
You roll up in my drive way, you beeped twice
Got me lookin' at you sideways, you lookin' right
But you actin' kinda funny what's on you mind
Damn, I left my wallet at the house, we gotta go back
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
But I don't know if I could get down wit you
It's got me contemplating, I don't think I'm ready
I don't think I'm ready, baby, I don't think I'm ready, baby
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
But I don't know if I could get down wit you
It's got me contemplating, I don't think I'm ready
I don't think I'm ready, baby, I don't think I'm ready, baby
We pulled up to your crib and you walked in
Said, you'd only be a minute but it's been 10
Your motioning for me to come on in
You done lit the candles expecting red light special
I know just what you're thinking, you wantin' me
But I'm two seconds from telling you I wanna leave
You put your arms around my, my body
And I don't know what to do, baby, now I want you too
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
But I don't know if I could get down wit you
It's got me contemplating, I don't think I'm ready
I don't think I'm ready, baby, I don't think I'm ready, baby
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
But I don't know if I could get down wit you
It's got me contemplating, I don't think I'm ready
I don't think I'm ready, baby, I don't think I'm ready, baby
It's a catch 22, will I stay or will I go?
'Cause your kissin' on me and I don't know what to do
My body saying yes, but my mind is saying no
Oooh, oooh, oooh, what I'm gon' do, do, do?
About you, you, you, I'm so confused, fused, oooh
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
But I don't know if I could get down wit you
It's got me contemplating, I don't think I'm ready
I don't think I'm ready, baby, I don't think I'm ready, baby
Oooh, oooh I been thinking about all the things that we could do
