Jim Henry may refer to:
Jim Henry is an American folk singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He started out as a member of the Sundogs, a New England "swamp-boogie-swing" band, in the late 1980s. In 1993, he released his first solo album, Into the Blue. He has toured with Mark Erelli, Deb Talan, and The Burns Sisters, and has added instrumental parts to hundreds of albums. He toured for many years with Tracy Grammer and his accompaniment has appeared on both her solo albums. The two met for the first time at their first gig, unrehearsed. He is also a music producer and sound engineer.
James M. Henry (born February 22, 1945 in Jefferson City, Tennessee), generally known as Jim Henry, was minority leader in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1981 to 1986, and a 2002 candidate for the Republican Party nomination for governor of Tennessee, losing the primary election to U.S. Representative Van Hilleary, who in turn lost the subsequent general election to Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen. Henry is currently in business providing services to the developmentally disabled and troubled children as President and CEO of Omni Visions, Inc. In December 2010, Tennessee governor-elect Bill Haslam chose Henry to be the commissioner of the new state department of Intellectual Disabilities.
As a young man, Henry attended Hiwassee College and the University of Tennessee and served with distinction in the Vietnam War. Subsequent to his military service, Henry became active in veterans' issues and in the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also became politically active, first serving as a city councilman in Kingston, Tennessee in 1971 at the age of 26.

Plot: Chronic gambler and carouser "Little" Joe Jackson is shot by Domino Johnson at Jim Henry's gambling club over an outstanding gambling debt. Little Joe's wife, the God-fearing Petunia Jackson, prays not only for her husband's mortal life, but also his eternal soul as she's afraid that if he dies now, he, despite not being an evil man, won't make it into heaven. As Little Joe is close to death, he is visited by agents of both the Lord and of Lucifer. They make a deal with him: they will give him six months to atone for the errors of his human life. Once back on Earth, he won't remember the deal but both the Lord and Lucifer will be watching over him, trying to get him to see things their way. As both sides try to get Little Joe's soul, they figure that some of the most powerful tools they have at their disposal are the women in Little Joe's life: Petunia on behalf of the Lord, and Georgia Brown, a gold-digging floozy, on behalf of Lucifer. As hard as both the Lord and Lucifer try to get Little Joe on their side, they don't factor into the equation human judgment, which turns some of their work against them.

I'll never [get/catch] a boy with you
In all my life I've never seen a sight of you
Heh, heh, heh, Mr. Hire
So meetin' you would be ever so nice
You know me so well
And I'm lookin' for a little advice
Tell me what to do?
And I will do what you tell me to do
I'll do it too, how blue I'll be not to
