As seen on karloff.com (...with thanks to Sara Karloff...) After uploading what has become "the rough version" of this visual retrospective -- and after I had also pieced together the follow-up presentation, involved solely with shining a spotlight upon Mr. Karloff's three unforgettable "Frankenstein" movies -- I got to thinking that I ought to put some serious effort into refining my initial tribute offering. In doing so, I hoped to adequately broaden the scope of what amounts to a remarkably diverse career, while also minimizing pointless photo duplication during the requisite "Frankenstein" related sequences. So, here is the final result. Somehow, I just knew it would end up being worthwhile for me to patiently renovate so many of these vintage production photos, with the aim of removing unsightly scratches, dust, and blemishes. Originally, I was greatly inspired by those beautifully rendered photo gallery presentations often included on many of Universal's classic horror DVDs. I merely felt that someone ought to do something along similar lines regarding Mr. Karloff's truly amazing career. Dedicated, with the greatest affection and unyielding respect, to the acting legend which is... Boris Karloff... Otherwise known as William Henry Pratt, (1887-1969). It remains an extreme pleasure to carry on revisiting dear Mr. Karloff's many varied performances captured on the silver screen, especially since the joyous advent of the home video revolution. Ah, no more feverish scanning of the TV Guide, from cover-to-cover, in order to possibly spot any random broadcasts of favorite vintage movies! It's just astonishing (for someone in my age group) to actually be able to own so many of these classic films, both mainstream and / or bordering on the obscure. My gratitude goes to everybody out there for taking the time to watch my heartfelt celebrations of Mr. Karloff's most memorable roles in the areas of cinema, theater, radio, and television. I feel very strongly that his is a body of work which should never be unceremoniously swept aside with the passage of years.
