JPEG XR (abbr. for JPEG extended range) is a still-image compression standard and file format for continuous tone photographic images, based on technology originally developed and patented by Microsoft under the name HD Photo (formerly Windows Media Photo). It supports both lossy and lossless compression, and is the preferred image format for Ecma-388 Open XML Paper Specification documents.

Support for the format is available in Adobe Flash Player 11.0, Adobe AIR 3.0, Sumatra PDF 2.1, Windows Imaging Component, .NET Framework 3.0, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10 and a number of other products.

Microsoft first announced Windows Media Photo at WinHEC 2006, and then renamed it to HD Photo in November of that year. In July 2007, the Joint Photographic Experts Group and Microsoft announced HD Photo to be under consideration to become a JPEG standard known as JPEG XR. On 16 March 2009, JPEG XR was given final approval as ITU-T Recommendation T.832 and starting in April 2009, it became available from the ITU-T in "pre-published" form. On 19 June 2009, it passed an ISO/IEC Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) ballot, resulting in final approval as International Standard ISO/IEC 29199-2. The ITU-T updated its publication with a corrigendum approved in December 2009, and ISO/IEC issued a new edition with similar corrections on September 30, 2010.

The word asshole, a variant of arsehole, which is still prevalent in British and Australian English, is a vulgar to describe the anus, often pejoratively used to refer to people.

The word arse in English derives from the Germanic root *arsaz, which originated from the Proto-Indo-European root *ors — meaning buttocks or backside. The combined form arsehole is first attested from 1500 in its literal use to refer to the anus. The metaphorical use of the word to refer to the worst place in a region, e.g., "the arsehole of the world") is first attested in print in 1865; the use to refer to a contemptible person is first attested in 1933. In the ninth chapter of his 1945 autobiography, Black Boy, Richard Wright quotes a snippet of verse that uses the term: "All these white folks dressed so fine / Their ass-holes smell just like mine ...". Its first appearance as an insult term in a newspaper indexed by Google News is in 1965. As with other vulgarities, these uses of the word may have been common in oral speech for some time before their first print appearances. By the 1970s, Hustler magazine featured people they did not like as "Asshole of the Month." In 1972, Jonathan Richman's Modern Lovers recorded his song "Pablo Picasso," which includes the line "Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole."

Andrew Brockhurst (born 18 August 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the Victorian Australian Football League (VFL/AFL).

Brockhurst, a half back and wingman, was already 23 when he came to Fitzroy, having previously played at South Adelaide. After a third place finish in South Adelaide's 1986 Best and Fairest award, he was picked up by Fitzroy with their first selection of the 1987 VFL Draft.

He made 20 disposals on his league debut against the Brisbane Bears and wouldn't better that number in the rest of his 16 games that year.

Andrew "Andy" Richard Betts (born (1977-05-11)May 11, 1977 in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, England) is a British professional basketball player. He has had a mostly international career, and as of 2011 he is with the Spanish ACB club Lagun Aro GBC.

After starting his career as a junior player with the Leicester Riders, Betts played college basketball at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University from 1994 to 1997 and later at Long Beach State University from 1997 to 1998. He was selected in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round, with the 50th overall draft pick after averaging 18.7 points and 10.1 rebounds as a senior at Long Beach State. He then moved to the Italian league for the 1998–99 season, signed by Fortitudo Bologna.

Betts has played for both the English national basketball team and the Great Britain national basketball team. He was named England young player of the year, also England player of the year twice. Betts started his career with the English national team in 1996 aged 19.
