Alternate End Credits for The End (1978) with Glen Campbell vocals

Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use. If you recall, last May I posted the closing of the 20th Century Fox Video release of Burt Reynolds' 1978 comedy The End. Those who have seen it on home video have always wondered about the theme song "Another Fine Mess". In the opening credits, Glen Campbell is credited as singing the tune, yet when you watch the film, it is sung by Paul Williams, who composed it. I have no idea whether Campbell or Williams vocals were in the theatrical edit. All I knew is that for home video, Williams sang it and on the TV print, Campbell did. But it seldom airs on TV these days. However, yesterday This TV ran the picture on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I threw a tape in and captured the end credits with Campbell's vocals. Alas, This TV now has the nasty habit of cutting off the credits 2/3rds of the way through to add more commercials. So this video is 2/3rds of Campbell's vocals and 1/3 of useless voiceover. Well, until I can find an uninterrupted version, it'll do for now.- published: 19 Nov 2013

Judas Priest - Heroes End (1978)
Judas Priest - Heroes End (1978)
Stained Class is the fourth album by British heavy metal group Judas Priest, released in February 1978. Stained Class is the only Judas Priest album to feature songwriting by all five members of the band. The sleeve artwork, by Rosław Szaybo at CBS Records, introduced the now-classic Judas Priest logo, replacing the Gothic Script logo which appeared on all of the band's prior albums. Stained Class was the first Judas Priest album to dent the Billboard 200 chart and was eventually certified gold in the U.S. The album was the heaviest the band had released up to that point, with the lyrics often dark and violent. The only instance of progressive rock on this album is "Beyond the Realms of Death", with its shifting dynamics. Hereafter, the progressive rock that characterized the band's first four albums would be completely eliminated. "Beyond The Realms Of Death" was the only song from Stained Class to become a live staple, with 472 performances through 2012. The title track has been played just twice, in 1978 and 2005, and Exciter disappeared from 1981 until 2005. White Heat, Red Hot was frequently played in 1978-1980 but never since then and Invader, Saints In Hell, and Heroes' End have never been played live. The notorious (see below) Better By You, Better Than Me was played only 11 times, and the obscure "Savage" around 5 times in early 1978. Rob Halford -- vocals K. K. Downing -- guitar Glenn Tipton -- guitar, vocals Ian Hill -- bass guitar Les Binks -- drums- published: 01 Feb 2014
