The Community Chest of Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港公益金) is an independent, non-profit organisation. It was established on 8 November 1968 in Hong Kong. As one of the most important charities in Hong Kong, The Community Chest serves as an umbrella organisation to provide grants to a wide range of community projects. 100% of funds raised are used to enhance local social welfare services without any deductions for administrative costs.^{[citation needed]}

The goal of The Community Chest is to work for the betterment of Hong Kong through the support by millions and to build a caring society through greater participation and giving by the Hong Kong community.

The Community Chest is governed by a Board. Under the Board, there are four main committees: the Executive Committee, the Campaign Committee, the Public Relations Committee and the Admissions, Budgets and Allocations Committee. Over 300 volunteers serving on various sub-committees contribute to support the work of these committees. They also work with the 40 staff at the Chest office to accomplish their fundraising target each year and allocate these funds to over 140 social welfare agencies.

The Faculty is a 1998 science fiction horror film written by Kevin Williamson (Scream 1 and 2) and directed by Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, From Dusk till Dawn). The film stars Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Jordana Brewster, Clea DuVall, Laura Harris, Robert Patrick, Bebe Neuwirth, Piper Laurie, Famke Janssen, Usher Raymond, Salma Hayek, and Jon Stewart.

At Herrington High School, faculty and staff are being taken over by alien parasites. A ragtag group of students decide to resist: Zeke Tyler (Josh Hartnett), a loner repeating his senior year. He sells, among other illegal items, a cocaine-like drug of his own creation; Stan Rosado (Shawn Hatosy), a jock who quits the football team during his senior year so he can focus on academics; Stan's girlfriend Delilah Profitt (Jordana Brewster), the vindictive editor in chief of the student paper; Casey Connor (Elijah Wood), a photographer for the paper with a crush on Delilah; Stokely 'Stokes' Mitchell (Clea DuVall), a gothic outcast and literary buff who, despite rumors she is a lesbian, has feelings for Stan; and Marybeth Louise Hutchinson (Laura Harris), a new girl at school, who just moved from Atlanta to live with relatives because her parents died in a car crash. She befriends Stokes and has a crush on Zeke.

Bora Laskin, PC, CC, FRSC (October 5, 1912 – March 26, 1984) was a Canadian jurist, who served on the Supreme Court of Canada for fourteen years, including a decade as the 14th Chief Justice.

Born in Fort William, Ontario, the son of Max Laskin and Bluma Zingel, Laskin was educated at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. From 1933 to 1936, he served his articles and continued to study at the University of Toronto. He received the degrees of MA in 1935 and LL.B in 1936. While at the University of Toronto, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. In 1937, he received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.

Despite his superior academic record, Laskin, who was Jewish, was unable to find work at any law firm of note, because of the anti-Semitism that pervaded the English-Canadian legal profession at the time. As a result, his first job after graduating was writing headnotes (i.e., article synopses) for a legal journal. Ultimately, Laskin decided to pursue his career in academia.
