“© kiwiright” is a 12 minute documentary about how copyright laws have been contorted to benefit the financial needs of corporate rights holders and no longer benefits the public nor the artists who create the work itself. Employing a fair-use argument, “© kiwiright” intercuts interviews with New Zealand lawmakers and technologists with Disney clips defining and commenting on copyright law.
The filmmaker calls “© kiwiright” a "proof-of-concept" film remixing footage from other films released under Creative Commons licenses to build an argument against “guilt upon accusation” laws and to promote freedom of speech and expression.

Net Neutrality: Protecting the future of the Internet.
When we use a computer at a friends house, we don't have to ask "Do you get Facebook here?" or "Do you have YouTube on your connection?" we just ask "Can I connect to the internet?" - we know those sites are going to be there, they are part of the Internet!
That's the way it is NOW.
But it might not be for long unless we are proactive in protecting that openness.
The major telecommunications companies are exploring the idea of switching to a "tiered" service plan, similar to what your cable television provider might offer. Only instead of having to pay for specific channels, you'd be required to pay for access to specific sites like Google, YouTube or Facebook.
It's not hard to imagine how a tiered "Internet" would impact our society.
Want to research a personal health matter at your local libraries public computer lab? Sorry - they don't subscribe to the WebMD package.
Uploading some photos to promote your community garden? Out of the question - unless you want to pay for the "content creators" package.
Trying to learn more about where a political candidate stands on an issue? Maybe next month, your allotted video views have been used up.
There is a movement building to stop these tiered service plans, and to ensure that the Internet is as open ten years from now, as it was ten years ago.
This movement is called Net Neutrality.
Visit www.savetheinternet.com to learn more about what you can do to protect the future of the Internet.

That's where I am, good morning, Rick.
Well, you know Facebook is an extension of your real world life, right? You talk to people on Facebook, you tell them what you're doing, you talk about your activities, your likes and dislikes.
So, it's only natural for a college admissions personnel to look on Facebook to see who you really are.
You can have a glowing personal statement that you had everybody help you draft. For the admissions officer to really go and see, "Oh, that's true! You really were the captain of whatever and the president of this organization."
They can go and look on you public profiles, whether it's Facebook or Twitter, or any other social medial tool, the videos you posted on YouTube - to get a full and real sense of who you are as an applicant.
They can be, now that's why every student, it's good to get education early it's not just about getting into college it's life lessons we're learning, right?
Students need to understand, and everyone needs to understand the various tools and privacy measures that you can implement on Facebook.
So, make sure your photos are not tagged. If you see a picture you don't like be vigilant to untag yourself. It'll be much harder for college personnel admissions officer to know you're in a specific picture if you've removed your name from that photo.
Make sure you're associating with good people. If you think your friends, or if you're going places where people are going to post pictures of you drinking -- well A. don't go drinking in the first place if you're underage. Right.
