Kawasaki (川崎市, Kawasaki-shi) is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, located between Tokyo and Yokohama. It is the 9th most populated city in Japan and one of the main cities forming the Greater Tokyo Area and Keihin Industrial Area.
Kawasaki occupies a belt of land stretching about 30 kilometres (19 mi) along the south bank of the Tama River, which divides it from Tokyo. The eastern end of the belt, centered on JR Kawasaki Station, is flat and largely consists of industrial zones and densely built working-class housing, the Western end mountainous and more suburban. The coastline of Tokyo Bay is occupied by vast heavy industrial complexes built on reclaimed land.
The western area of Kawasaki, also known as the Tama Hills, largely consists of newly developed residential areas which are connected to Tokyo by the Odakyū Odawara Line and Tokyu Denentoshi Line. The area also houses several university campuses, suburban commercial developments and light industrial complexes.
Kawasaki may refer to:
Kawasaki Ninja is the trademarked name of several series of Kawasaki sport bikes, that started with the 1984 GPZ900R. In feudal Japan, a "ninja" was a covert agent or mercenary specialized in unorthodox combat.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a "supercharged supersport" class motorcycle in the Kawasaki Ninja sportbike series, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, featuring a variable-speed centrifugal-type supercharger. With 310 horsepower (230 kW) and 326 horsepower (243 kW)< with ram air, the H2R track-only variant has 50% more power than the fastest street-legal motorcycles, and would exceed the production motorcycle top speed of nearly 200 miles per hour (320 km/h) held by the Suzuki Hayabusa or Kawasaki ZX-12R, but the comparable street-legal H2 has a much lower power output of 200 hp (150 kW)210 hp (160 kW)with ram air.
Its namesake is the 750 cc Kawasaki H2 Mach IV, an inline triple that was introduced by Kawasaki in the early 1970s to "disrupt what it saw as a sleeping motorcycle market".
A city is a large and permanent human settlement. Although there is no agreement on how a city is distinguished from a town in general English language meanings, many cities have a particular administrative, legal, or historical status based on local law.
Cities generally have complex systems for sanitation, utilities, land usage, housing, and transportation. The concentration of development greatly facilitates interaction between people and businesses, benefiting both parties in the process, but it also presents challenges to managing urban growth.
A big city or metropolis usually has associated suburbs and exurbs. Such cities are usually associated with metropolitan areas and urban areas, creating numerous business commuters traveling to urban centers for employment. Once a city expands far enough to reach another city, this region can be deemed a conurbation or megalopolis. In terms of population, the largest city proper is Shanghai, while the fastest-growing is Dubai.
There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.
Kawasaki has a variety of unique faces. It supports Japanese manufacturing and has a high concentration of research and development facilities as one of the foremost industrial cities in the world. This energetic city is filled with music and the arts while it is also actively engaged in sports.
► Kawasaki is a "small city" with a population of 1.5 million, that is squeezed in between the megacities of Tokyo and Yokohama. A few years ago, it had a reputation of being a boring "bedtown" with nothing much to do. Recently, that has all changed, and apart from Japanese restaurants and shops offering traditional Japanese goods, Kawasaki also has a european neighbourhood, which offers primarily italian and french cuisine. On top of that, there's also a really good, huge outlet mall of the kind you'd expect to find in the U.S. Kawasaki City can be easily reached from Tokyo, just 15 minutes by train from Shingawa Station by Keihin Tohoku Line. - Enjoy!
Ever since Kawasaki Ninja H2 was launched, everyone is talking about how fast it is. There's a comment asking if this world's only Supercharged Hypersports is good for city riding. So we put it on a test, riding the H2 into the city, right into the middle of the most congested area of Kuala Lumpur. #ministryofsuperbike Credits: Kawasaki Ninja H2 by Kawasaki Malaysia Transportation by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/
► It's more than a year since I uploaded my last Kawasaki-video (which also happened to be my first) - So I thought it's time for a follow-up. This time around, I visited in the evening, and although a small city compared to the neighbouring mega-cities of Tokyo and Yokohama, Kawasaki manage to offer something different, being a nice "small big city" with a local feeling to it. I took a short evening-walk around the station area, these are my impressions. - Enjoy!

http://bit.ly/fujikofujiomuseum On the ninth day in Japan, we visited the Fujiko F Fujio (Doraemon) Museum in Kawasaki City, before heading to our next destination, Ramen Museum, which located in Shin-Yokohama, Tokyo, Japan. My husband and I grew up with Doraemon, and we're a big fan of Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, Giant and friends. We both read all the Doraemon comics since childhood. So, when we finally came to this museum, it was like a DREAM COME TRUE for both of us. This museum is very good and interesting; that's why I wanted to share my story with you guys here. Remember that, there are no admission tickets on sale at the museum because they only sell the admission ticket via Loppi Machine that is available in many Lawson convenience store in Japan. The ¥1000 ticket should be purchas...
In this video I ride the Kawasakin ZX14R. It is a 1440cc Motorcycle with 200+ BHP and 160+ Nm Torque. It is an absolute beast. Both the Kawasaki ZX14R and the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX 1300R are amazing Hyperbikes / Sport Touring Motorcycles with unbelievable amount of power. I would buy the Kawasaki ZX14R over the Kawasaki ZX 10R or a Yamaha R1M, BMW S1000RR etc for the comfort. You can also experience riding the ZX 14R, you can rent one from www.Driven.in or Visit Driven Cafe in Hyderabad.

I went from Kagoshima to Tokyo to have an interview. I recorded how things went along the way. I guess this is a travel blog? The video is literally mostly travelling. There were a few things that I instantly noticed were different between the rural Kagoshima compared to the city-life of Kawasaki (Kanagawa).
