Jack Edward Larson (February 8, 1928 – September 20, 2015) was an American actor, librettist, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his portrayal of photographer/cub reporter Jimmy Olsen on the television series Adventures of Superman.
Larson was born on February 8, 1928 in Los Angeles, the son of Anita (Calicoff), a Western Union clerk, and George Larson, a milk truck driver. His father was of Swedish and English descent, and his mother was from a Jewish family (from Russia and Germany). He was reared in Pasadena. He graduated from Montebello High School in 1945, aged 17, and at times claimed 1933 as his birth year.
Larson found the role of cub reporter Jimmy Olsen on The Adventures of Superman to be a handicap, because he became typecast as a naive young man. This caused him to do little acting after the show ended in 1958, and instead he focused on behind-the-scenes work, such as writing and production. Larson was always willing to sit for interviews about the Superman series and his connection to it, and in recent years had a number of cameos that paid subtle tribute to his character and the series, including a 1991 episode of the TV series Superboy, alongside Noel Neill, who played Lois Lane in Adventures of Superman, and an episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman as an aged Jimmy Olsen in the episode "Brutal Youth", first telecast on October 20, 1996.
The Simpsons includes a large array of supporting characters: co-workers, teachers, family friends, extended relatives, townspeople, local celebrities, fictional characters within the show, and even animals. The writers originally intended many of these characters as one-time jokes or for fulfilling needed functions in the town. A number of them have gained expanded roles and have subsequently starred in their own episodes. According to the creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, the show adopted the concept of a large supporting cast from the Canadian sketch comedy show Second City Television.
Agnes Skinner (voiced by Tress MacNeille) is the mother of Principal Skinner and first appeared in the first season episode "The Crepes of Wrath" as an old woman who embarrassingly calls her son "Spanky". However, as episodes progressed, the character turned bitter. She is very controlling of her son and often treats him as if he is a child. She hates Edna Krabappel due to her son's feelings for the other woman. Agnes has married four times. Several Springfield residents (including the Simpsons) are afraid of her. When "the real Seymour Skinner" arrives in Springfield, Agnes ends up rejecting him in part because he stands up to her, but also because unlike Skinner/Tamzarian, her biological son is independent and doesn't need her anymore, while Skinner immediately reverts to a good-for-nothing without her.

Plot: Are You For Great Sex? is a boundary-pushing, raw, and sophisticated sexual love story told from a uniquely fresh, woman's point of view. Directed by Cynthia Hsiung, and based on a true story, the movie wrestles with a central question: What is the meaning of great sex? Is it just a primal instinctual act? Or is there something deeper that a great sexual connection tells us about ourselves? There's great sex, and then there's unforgettable sex. That's what Thea and Mateas have had for more than a decade. Both New Yorkers in consuming professions, they consider their relationship to be "just" sexual and live out their separate lives. Over the years of this on-again-off-again, modern-epic romance, Thea copes with an unhappy marriage, a mother with Alzheimer's disease, and the pressure of her fertility clock. Mateas pursues a demanding career as a world-traveling consultant, and lives with its attendant emotional isolation while taking financial care of his ailing father. What remains unchanged is their sensational sexual chemistry - and a secret that emerges out of a bizarre series of events, forcing them to examine their lives on a profound level. Shining a spotlight on what it means to have a connection that is both highly sexual and deeply soulful, Are You For Great Sex? comments on contemporary definitions of love and has already inspired viewers to email their first loves, change up their sex lives, and evaluate their relationships. For everyone who wants to learn your greatest inner truth, ask yourself: Are You For Great Sex? The answer can only be: Yes!

Plot: Struggling private investigator Louis Simo treats his work more as a means to make a living than a want to do right by what few clients he has. Through connections with the investigation firm for which he used to work, Simo is hired by Helen Bessolo to investigate the death of her son, actor 'George Reeves (I)' (qv). Reeves was best known for his title role in _"Adventures of Superman" (1952)_ (qv), a role which he always despised, in part since it typecast him as a "cartoon", despite it bringing him a certain fame. His June 16, 1959 death by a single gunshot wound while in his bedroom in his Los Angeles home was ruled a suicide by the police, the death which occurred when the house was filled with people. Reeves' story is told in part in flashback as Simo, who is trying to make a name for himself with this case, talks to or tries to talk to some of the players involved, most specifically the wife of MGM General Manager 'E.J. Mannix' (qv), Toni Mannix, with who Reeves was having a relatively open and gift-lucrative affair (she bought him that house), and Reeves' fiancée at the time of his death, Lenore Lemmon, an aspiring actress who some felt didn't love Reeves (or visa versa). As Simo proceeds with his high-profile investigation, he learns that someone doesn't want him snooping around. Through the process, Simo evaluates his own professional and personal life, the latter which includes a somewhat strained relationship with his wife and son.

Plot: In the old West, a small frontier town is being controlled by ruthless mob boss Decker and his cronies. After the local sheriff dies under mysterious circumstances, Decker arranges to have the town drunk appointed sheriff, thinking he will be ineffectual. But the new sheriff sends for Tom Destry, son of a famous two-fisted lawman, to be his deputy. When Tom arrives, he isn't exactly the swaggering he-man the sheriff had in mind. In fact, Destry doesn't even carry a gun. But the new deputy's mild exterior masks a fierce determination to see justice done, as Decker and the other locals soon discover.

The behind the scenes TV stories you wouldn’t have known - from the people who were there. A few years back, the pop culture world lost two beloved icons from the golden age of television. Before there was Batman vs. Superman, before there was Supergirl, before there was Smallville, before there was Justice League and Lois and Clark and Superboy and Superman the Movie and even BATMAN - there was… The Adventures of Superman, starring George Reeves, which aired from 1952 through 1958 and, beginning around its third season, the first TV series - ever -to be produced in color! Jack Larson was, for an entire generation, THE Jimmy Olsen – the intrepid cub-reporter/photographer, Superman’s Pal, – the guy who was always getting in trouble, relying on the man of steel to get him out of it.
