Shelter tells the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness. Each day, Rin awakens in virtual reality and uses a tablet which controls the simulation to create a new, different, beautiful world for herself. Until one day, everything changes, and Rin comes to learn the true origins behind her life inside a simulation.

I'm so glad for Porter Robinson and Madeon (along with A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll) that their work "Shelter" is trending! Works like these, they are like concentrated emotion. In a short story and animation, every frame and every second counts. In fact, the story isn't complex at all. The fact that it's simple is why it's so powerful...
I hope that more and more anime-related content becomes more popular and joins the ranks of trending videos. Stories like these, they have value. Art enriches the soul, and using anime and music as a medium is a very powerful tool to do that~
I've been obsessing over this music ever since I saw the short story animation. I'm truly inspired by the animators and musicians involved in the making of "Shelter". Hope you guys enjoy this arrangement!

Shelter (2010 film)
Shelter (2010) is an American supernatural horror film directed by Swedish directors Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, written by Michael Cooney, and starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The film was released as 6 Souls in the United States on March 1, 2013, for video on demand, followed by a limited theatrical release on April 5, 2013.
Plot
After the death of her husband, Dr. Cara Harding's (Julianne Moore) faith in God has been shaken, but not her belief in science. In an attempt to get her more open to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories, her father (Jeffrey DeMunn) introduces her to Adam (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a patient with multiple personalities who also takes on some of the physical characteristics of his other personalities. Cara quickly discovers that his other personalities were murder victims; and the more she finds out about Adam and his past, the closer she and her loved ones are to becoming victims themselves.

I'm so glad for Porter Robinson and Madeon (along with A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll) that their work "Shelter" is trending! Works like these, they are like concentrated emotion. In a short story and animation, every frame and every second counts. In fact, the story isn't complex at all. The fact that it's simple is why it's so powerful...
I hope that more and more anime-related content becomes more popular and joins the ranks of trending videos. Stories like these, they have value. Art enriches the soul, and using anime and music as a medium is a very powerful tool to do that~
I've been obsessing over this music ever since I saw the short story animation. I'm truly inspired by the animators and musicians involved in the making of "Shelter". Hope you guys enjoy this arrangement!

In a time of recession and playing-it-safe, films like Inception and The Social Network still found a great audience. We've reached the end of yet another unforgettable year of movies. Not only did this years movies push boundaries even further, they did so with impeccable risks. In a time of recession and playing-it-safe, films like Inception and The Social Network still found a great audience. But smaller films also, like Blue Valentine, Splice, Buried and Breaking Upwards found loving followers. It's crazy to think that all these films came out in one year, and so I tried my best do give them each a moment of glory. I purposely chose for a more personal approach this year, seeing as a lot of other editors were making their own film retrospective.

About a year and a half ago, I adopted Maltball, a short, squat (but not fat) brown-haired mix from a shelter in Missouri before I relocated to Ohio ... Louis to visit my sister, I dropped by the shelter where I got Maltball ... We were chatting and one of the staffers dropped the bomb that Maltball had been given to the shelter by a defense attorney after the former owner was convicted of murder and sent away to prison....
