In this video, you can see the scintillating beauty of Olden, enchanting view of Briksdal Glacier, spectacular fjords near Olden and majestic Lyse Fjord. We shot this video on our recent cruise trip from Southampton, UK by P&O; Cruises - Brittania (Britan's biggest cruise ship) to Norway. The fantastic view we got from the cruise ship while leaving Olden through the fjords is unforgettable and is a once in lifetime experience. Trying the pristine water directly coming from the glacier is one of the most memorable things we have done on this trip. Please note that although Pulpit's rock is mentioned in this video, we were unable to get its footage. Also please note that the trek from Pulpit's rock bus departures to the top would take a minimum of 2 hours.

Olden is a village and has a population 480 on January 2009 and is located at the month of the Oldedalen vally by the NordfjordOlden, In Olden Centre you will find shops, the post office a bank and a cafe, the village has two churches the one in the village was built in 1759 on the site of a stave church dating from around 1300, The doorposts and the doors were made from timbers from this stave church. Oldens old church is open to the public during the summer season. The new church is a short distance along the valley and was built in 1934 so the old church could be preserved.

Olden, Norway
Olden is a village and urban area in the municipality of Stryn in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Olden is located at the mouth of the Oldeelva river at the northern end of the Oldedalen valley on the southern shore of the Nordfjorden. The 0.57-square-kilometre (140-acre) village has a population (2013) of 498, giving the village a population density of 874 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,260/sq mi). Olden is located about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southwest of the village of Loen, about a 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) drive southeast of the municipal center of Stryn, and about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) east of the village of Innvik.
Attractions
Olden is a major tourist area. The cruise port in Olden had 61 cruise ship arrivals in 2003. The Briksdalsbreen glacier, a popular hiking destination, is located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Olden, at the end of the Oldedalen valley. It is a small arm off the main Jostedalsbreen glacier. There are two churches in Olden, the Old Olden Church (built in 1759) and Olden Church (built in 1934).

In this video, you can see the scintillating beauty of Olden, enchanting view of Briksdal Glacier, spectacular fjords near Olden and majestic Lyse Fjord. We shot this video on our recent cruise trip from Southampton, UK by P&O; Cruises - Brittania (Britan's biggest cruise ship) to Norway. The fantastic view we got from the cruise ship while leaving Olden through the fjords is unforgettable and is a once in lifetime experience. Trying the pristine water directly coming from the glacier is one of the most memorable things we have done on this trip. Please note that although Pulpit's rock is mentioned in this video, we were unable to get its footage. Also please note that the trek from Pulpit's rock bus departures to the top would take a minimum of 2 hours.

Olden is a village and has a population 480 on January 2009 and is located at the month of the Oldedalen vally by the NordfjordOlden, In Olden Centre you will find shops, the post office a bank and a cafe, the village has two churches the one in the village was built in 1759 on the site of a stave church dating from around 1300, The doorposts and the doors were made from timbers from this stave church. Oldens old church is open to the public during the summer season. The new church is a short distance along the valley and was built in 1934 so the old church could be preserved.
