Texas Tornado (roller coaster)

The Texas Tornado is a steel roller coaster at Wonderland amusement park in Amarillo, Texas.

Ride Layout

Riders begin by climbing the chain lift hill beside the highway to the coaster's highest point of 80 ft (24.4 m) before it heads down the first drop. Immediately after the drop, the train powers through a 72 ft (30 m) tall vertical loop before heading along an elevated section nearly level section of track with a slight dip to the right. The train turns downwards and left and then back up and left towards the second 52 ft (15.8 m) tall vertical loop. After the second loop, the train heads down and through a 13 ft (4 m) deep, 200 ft (61 m) long tunnel before climbing back to the brake run.

Texas /ˈtɛksəs/ (Spanish: Texas or Tejas [ˈtexas]) is a state in the United States of America. It is the second most populous and second largest state by area in the US. Geographically located in the south central part of the country, Texas shares an international border with Mexico to the south and borders the states of New Mexico to the west, Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the northeast, and Louisiana to the east. The "Lone Star" can be found on the Texan state flag and on the Texan state seal. The origin of the state name, Texas, is from the word, "Tejas", which means 'friends' in the Caddo language.

Texas Tornado

The Texas Tornado were a Junior A hockey team located in Frisco, Texas, USA. The team joined the North American Hockey League's Central division in 1999 (and moved into the newly formed southern division three years later) while located in North Richland Hills, Texas, and enjoyed unprecedented success since their expansion year.

The Tornado played their home games at the 6,000-seat Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.

On May 13, 2006, the Tornado won their third straight Robertson Cup, defeating the Bozeman Icedogs. This would be the first time in over 15 years that a team won three consecutive Robertson Cups. On May 8, 2012 the Tornado won their 5th Robertson Cup in team history, defeating the St. Louis Bandits 4-3 in OT. The Texas Tornado were owned and operated by the Consolidated Sports Holdings USA, Inc. In the 2013 offseason the Tornado were sold to Texas Hockey Partners (THP) and relocated back to North Richland Hills becoming the Lone Star Brahmas.

Tracy Lawrence

Tracy Lee Lawrence (born January 27, 1968) is an American country music artist. He started at a country music restaurant called "Live At Libby's" where owner Libby Knight would help local talent find their way into country music. Lawrence signed to Atlantic Records in 1991, Lawrence debuted that year with the album Sticks and Stones, which produced his first chart single and first Number One hit in its title track. Five more studio albums, as well as a live album and a compilation album, followed throughout the 1990s and into 2000 on Atlantic before the label's country division was closed in 2001. Afterward, he recorded for Warner Bros. Records, DreamWorks Records, Mercury Records Nashville and his own label, Rocky Comfort Records.

Lawrence has released nine studio albums, three compilations, a live album, and a Christmas album. His studio albums have accounted for more than forty singles on the Billboard country music charts. Of these, eight have reached number one: "Sticks and Stones" (1991), "Alibis", "Can't Break It to My Heart", "My Second Home" (all 1993), "If the Good Die Young" (1994), "Texas Tornado" (1995), "Time Marches On" (1996) and "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" (2007).

TNT (Russian TV channel)

TNT (Means: Your New Television. Russian: ТНТ, Твоё Новое Телевидение, Tvoyo Novoye Televideniye) is a Russian brand name of TNT-Broadcasting Network, one of Russia’s top five television networks. It reaches over 100 million people throughout Russia offering a light entertainment aimed at a younger audience from age 16 through age 30.

Thanks to its blend of innovative reality programmes and a variety of original comedy shows backed up by probably the most aggressive marketing in the market, TNT demonstrated a record-breaking growth in both revenues and audience share. In the last four years, TNT’s national share of audience (6 – 54 years old) increased from 3.9% in 2002 to 6.9% in 2009.

TNT’s business model is similar to the US TV Networks whereby its signal is distributed by both own and operated stations and affiliate stations. In return the local stations get a share of advertising time within the content provided by TNT.

TNT delivers its signal through satellites in four different orbits, allowing its 20 own TV stations and over 350 affiliates to receive the signal in their respective time zones. TNT’s signal is received and retransmitted by local network stations covering in 760 Russian cities. Sale of advertising is TNT’s main source of revenue. As of July 2013 Roman Petrenko, previously General Director of TNT (2002-2013), is the new Chairman Of the Board (CEO) of JSC TNT-Broadcasting Network.
