Kailash Tour 2014 - Grand pilgrimage tour event in the year of horse
The upcoming 2014 is the year of horse in Tibetan calendar, occurring every twelve years. According to Tibetan tradition, Buddhists make pilgrimage to holy mountains in the year of horse and to holy lakes in the year of sheep. As the most sacred mountains in Tibet, Mount Kailash in western Tibet receives much more visitors than usual in such a year, especially during Saga Dawa Festival which is held at the Kailash region annually in each April in Tibetan calendar (around May or June in western calendar). The Saga Dawa Kailash tour is also considered as the most interesting and authentic tour event in western Tibet each year. In 2014, the holiest year at this region, the event will be more attractive for visitors. The Kailash is expected to witness over 60,000 pilgrims and visitors in 2014, not just Tibetans, but also Hindus and Buddhists from India, Nepal, Japan, Russia and other places, Western and Chinese travelers. visit: http://www.tibettravel.org/kailash-tour/- published: 30 Aug 2013

Thank you from the Tibetan Nuns Project - 2013 in review
A 2-minute video to thank all the supporters of the Tibetan Nuns Project (www.tnp.org) and to show the highlights of 2013, including the Geshema exams, the sponsorship program, the Jang Gochoe annual month-long debate, the completion of 8 retreat huts and other special projects. ABOUT THE TIBETAN NUNS PROJECT In 1987, the Tibetan Nuns Project was established to provide education and humanitarian aid to refugee nuns from Tibet and the Himalayan regions of India. The Tibetan Nuns Project is dedicated to: • Improving nutrition, sanitation, medical care, and education in Tibetan nunneries • Building self-sufficiency through educational and training opportunities • Training nuns to take leadership, service and teaching roles within their communities • Improving the level and status of ordained Buddhist women • Assisting recently arrived refugee nuns from Tibet • Continuing to establish further facilities for Buddhist nuns • Establishing a model educational institution for nuns EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT Most refugee nuns escaping to Northern India have had no education in their own language, nor have they been allowed education in their religious heritage while in Tibet. Many were illiterate on arrival and could not even write their own names. In addition to the trauma of their escape, many nuns had faced arrest, imprisonment and torture in Tibet for their peaceful demands for basic human rights. The Tibetan Nuns Project has created a ground-breaking education system aimed at both preserving Tibetan culture and equipping and empowering these women to live and take leadership in the modern world. The Tibetan Nuns Project has sought to elevate the educational standards and the position of women within the monastic community. To prepare the nuns for positions of leadership and moral authority in a culture that is going through a very challenging transition, the Tibetan Nuns Project combines traditional religious studies with the best of a modern education. Since TNP was founded in 1987, many nuns have been educated and have assumed leadership roles in their community, such as teachers in Tibetan schools, instructors for other nuns, as health care providers and in other roles serving the Tibetan exile community. Thanks in part to consistent effort from the Tibetan Nuns Project, for the first time in Tibetan history, nuns are now receiving educational opportunities previously available only to monks. The Tibetan Nuns Project believes that education is the key to empowerment, and we seek to give nuns the resources to carve out independent, creative identities for themselves. PRESERVING TIBET'S UNIQUE CULTURE AND RELIGION Through its all its work, the Tibetan Nuns Project is strengthening Tibetan culture - under great threat due to the occupation of Tibet - through empowering women. These women, previously denied equal access to education and the opportunity in Tibet to freely and safely practice their faith, are both an integral part of the spiritual roots of the society and are teachers and leaders of the future. BUILDING SKILLS AND SUSTAINABILITY The Tibetan Nuns Project has created multiple income-generation and training programs so that the nuns are able to gain a measure of self-sufficiency, even in a difficult life in exile. The nuns make and sell a range of products that are sold around the world. In addition, in an effort to raise money and maintain a healthy lifestyle, the nuns recently learned how to make tofu that they sell to local businesses. Each year, the nuns take photographs and create a Tibetan Nuns Project calendar that is sold to supporters worldwide. Gyalpo Lhosar Celebration 2014 in Israel "ग्याल्पो ल्होसार" watch in 1080P HD
Gyalpo Lhosar is the celebration of Tibetan New Year. The Tibetan calendar is made up of twelve lunar months and Losar begins on the first day of the first month. The celebrations of Lhosar begins on the 29th day of the 12th month of the calendar. This lhosar is celebrated in Nepal mostly by Sherpa, Tamang, Bhutia and Yolmo. Different communities and different places have their own way of celebration. Gyalpo Lhosar is celebrated for almost 2 weeks. The main celebrations take place during first three days. On the first day beverage called changkol is made from chhaang (a Tibetan cousin of beer). The second day is called Gyalpo Lhosar. This is the main New Year Day. Third day people get together and have feasts. Many traditional ceremonial dances representing the struggle between demon and god are performed in the Monasteries. Mantras are chanted and fire torches are passed among all the people in the crowd. A traditional dance representing battle between deer and King is performed. One day before the main day of new years. The houses are cleaned, specially the kitchen. Chimneys are also cleaned from inside. Special dishes are cooked. One of the most important dishes is the soup. This soup is made from meat, wheat, rice, sweet potato, cheese, peas, green pepper, vermicelli noodles and radish. This soup is served with special type of dumpling. Sometimes, different hidden items are used in fillings for the dumplings. The items are chilies, wood, paper and pebbles. People comment on the nature (character) of the person on the findings inside his/her dumplings. If one finds wood means he has wooden heart, etc. This is done for fun. On Main New Year day, people visit the monasteries, Chant mantras and give gifts to the monks. Firecrackers are fired to get rid of ill spirits.- published: 16 Mar 2014

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche explaining Lhatsun Namkai Jigme
During a break in Tashiding, Rinpoche called his students and friends outside to give a brief explanation about Lhatsun Namkha Jigme (1597-1654), the Tibetan visionary-saint and the author of the Riwo Sangcho smoke offering practice that many of us do.
Lhatsun Chenpo Namkha Jigme was an incarnation of both the great pandit and Dzogchen master Vimalamitra, who attained the ja lü phowa chenpo, and of the omniscient Longchenpa. He was born in 1597 at Jaryül in southern Tibet. At birth, the space between his eyebrows and the tips of his tongue and nose were all very clearly marked with the seed-syllable AH.
He was ordained as a novice in 1607 by Tulku Orgyen Paljor and was given the name Kunzang Namgyal. He particularly practised the Kagye (the ‘Eight Great Herukas’) and Lama Gongdu, completely mastering all the accomplishments and enlightened activities of these practices.
He stayed for seventeen years with Dzogchenpa Sonam Wangpo, receiving the complete instructions of Nyingtik, and from Ngawang Mikyo Dorje he received thorough instruction on the profound and secret yogic practices known as ‘The Path of Skillful Means’ (thap lam), and its attendant activities known as ‘the disciplined conduct of awareness’. He was the heart-disciple of both Rigdzin Jatson Nyingpo and Terton Dudul Dorje, Jatson Nyingpo principally transmitted to him the Ratnasamanyasamgha, Konchok Chidu teachings, as a lineage holder. He became a supreme practitioner of all these teachings and many lamas consider that since his time no one has displayed such complete mastery.
Namkha Jigme was himself a terton, he was the discoverer of the "Attainment of the Vidyadhara Life" (rig 'dzin srog sgrub), from which the famed "Riwo Sangcho (ri bo bsang mchod)" comes from and "The Spontaneous Song of the Clouds: the Nucleus of Indestructible Reality" (rdo rje snying po sprin gyi thol glu)
Through his practice of Riwo Sangcho, he was able to remove all human and non-human obstacles to the Dharma in Sikkim, opening it as a ‘secret land’ of the teachings. Because of this, he was able to teach Dzogchen very widely in Sikkim in the remaining years of his life, establishing a vibrant and unbroken lineage that continues to this day, known simply as ‘Sikkim Dzogchen’. Encouraged by Jatson and Dudul, Lhatsun Namkha Jigme along with Kathok Rigdzin Chenpo and Ngadak Sempa Phuntsok went to Sikkim in the water horse year of the Tibetan calendar corresponding to 1642 A.D, they established the Royal Phuntsok Namgyal Dynasty by choosing young Bhutia Phuntsok Namgyal, who became the first Chogyal (Dharma King) of Sikkim.
More than two hundred of Lhatsun Namkha Jikmé’s writings have survived. Accomplishing the Life-Force of the Vidyadharas and The Spontaneous Song of the Clouds have continued to be transmitted and practiced throughout Tibet and particularly in Sikkim right up to the present day without any decline. His incarnation, Jigme Pawo (1682-?) continued his work in Sikkim. His later incarnations include the Khyentse lineage; Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro states in his autobiography that he had clear memories of his past life as Lhatsun Namkha Jikme, and that he had been shown the tantric disciplines by Lhatsun in a vision.

Amazing new Mayan artifacts prove the extraterrestrial connection between the Maya and their galactic visitors, furthering the preponderance on the December 21, 2012 end date to the Long Count calendar.
Many people have speculated that the Maya were visited by extraterrestrials and that at least one of their deities, Kukulcan (also known as Quetzalcoatl by the Aztecs), may have been a galactic visitor who taught the Maya about agriculture, mathematics, medicine and astronomy. How else could one explain the Mayan calendar, a calendar that to this day can accurately predict every lunar eclipse within 30 seconds?
The Maya knew of planets that were not "discovered" until many centuries later. They were also the first civilization to use the "zero" in mathematics.
Interestingly, while Quetzalcoatl was described by the Maya as appearing to be Caucasian, having blonde hair and blue eyes, some of the artifacts appear to have African characteristics, thus giving credence to the hypothesis that our civilization was seeded here from various star nations.
For more on this premise, please see: Starseeds and Our Human Origins
The demise of the Maya civilization came in 1521 when Hernán Cortés invaded the Maya during the Spanish Conquest of the Yucatan, funded by the Roman Catholic Church. Cortés believed the Maya were a pagan civilization and ordered his Conquistadors to raid the Mayan buildings. Books, biographies, musical compositions, histories, genealogies and other Mayan works were burned, thus destroying nearly every trace of this great civilization.
Now, the Maya may hold the ultimate answers to UFO disclosure. Additionally, according to Drunvalo Melchizedek, there are 1000's of Mayan codices that were discovered in the basement of a museum library after many people believed that all but four codices were destroyed.
This shows us how long the media has been deceiving the public. If the Spanish supposedly destroyed all of the Maya's books, texts, calendars and manuscripts, then why do works such as the Dresden Codices still exist?
Linguist Clif High stated, ""The 11:11 am alignment on December 21, 2012 was deliberately created by Pope Gregory, under the direction of the powers that be at that time. They took a German mathematician, who assembled a team and then they used texts that theoretically do not exist. Many of the Mayan books that were said to have been burned weren't burned, but crated up and taken back to the Vatican as part of the payoff for the expedition and the slicing of the planet between the Spanish and the Portuguese by the pope of that time."
"Pope Gregory brought aboard a team of mathematicians who spent 5 months at the reconciliation level alone, to get the Gregorian calendar to align, specifically, with the end of the Mayan calendar with these particular numbers. They wanted the 11:11 am because 11 is the number of mastery, it is one number beyond divinity and the 11:11 combo brings you to 22 which is their number for sainthood or ascension. The whole 2012 date continuously points back to the holy cross, or the swastika. If you look down on a swastika, it's both the double cross, indicating the 4 sided pyramid, or 5 sided counting the bottom, but it also represents a solar effect. This solar effect can be seen from the sun or from outside the earth but we can't see it from here. The effect twists somewhat to create an image similar to the swastika. The swastika was encoded as a reference to solar activity that will occur around 2012."
In a recent article, remote viewing Tibetan monks foresaw an ET intervention in 2012. Is this what the Maya perceive?
Please see: Remote Viewing Monks See 2012 ET Intervention
So what can we expect on December 21, 2012? Chances are, it'll be just another day but no one knows for sure. If these artifacts have anything to do with the end date of the Mayan calendar, it could be the start of an exciting new era in human history!

Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche: Mind and Mental States
On March 29, 2012, at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, California, the following lecture took place.
You are invited to revisit that evening as you watch and listen to Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche teach on Mind and Mental States (interpreted by Paloma Landry).
Official Website: http://katogcholing.com/
Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche has taught for many years at monasteries in Tibet and India, and is the abbot of Katog Mardo Tashi Choling in Eastern Tibet, where he established a retreat center, library, and shedra (higher philosophical studies institute). He is currently building a school for the monastery's children. He not only obtained financial support for the monastery buildings, but also oversaw the construction of giant prayer wheels and other representations of body, speech and mind to preserve the dharma. He directs the education and spiritual practice for over three hundred monks, of whom there are seventy advanced-degree candidates, one hundred children, and twenty full time retreatants.
Enthronement CeremonyRinpoche studied dharma intensively for over thirty years at the feet of his teachers in Mardo Tashi Choling and Katog monasteries in eastern Tibet, His Holiness Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok’s Serthar Buddhist Institute in Kardze, Tibet, and His Holiness Penor Rinpoche’s monastery Namdroling in India. Acknowledged as a scholar of the highest level, he thrice received the title of Khenpo (equivalent to a Doctor of Philosophy), making him a triple Khenpo. He has also been recognized by His Holiness Katog Moksa Rinpoche as a tulku (a reincarnate master) of Drubtop Namkha Gyamtso of Katog Monastery. He was enthroned in the mother monastery of Katog by HH Moksa among many lamas, khenpos, and monks.
Hence, the name "Khentrul" denotes one who is both a khenpo and a tulku. In addition to having completed over three years of retreat, he has received the entire Nyingt'hig lineage (including Nyingt'hig Yabzhi, Dzod Dun, Ngalso Khorsum, Yeshe Lama, and Chetzun Nyingt'hig), as well as many empowerments, scriptural transmissions, and explanations on the pith instructions for Great Perfection (Dzogchen) practice.
Khentrul Rinpoche has also received the rarely bestowed oral transmission of Khenpo Ngakchung’s Nyingt'hig lineage. From H.H. Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, H.H. Dodrubchen Rinpoche, H.H. Penor Rinpoche, and H.H. Katog Moksa Rinpoche, he received all of the empowerments and scriptural transmissions for the Kama and Terma cycles of the Nyingma school.
Enthronement CeremonyEnthronement CeremonyKhentrul Rinpoche came to the United States in September of 2002, at the invitation of His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, who requested that he start a program for studying Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and meditation in a traditional way (known as a shedra). This shedra program consists of profound, authentic teachings and continues to take place in the fall of each year. Khentrul Rinpoche has established his own non-profit organization, Katog Choling, to support dharma activity in the West. He has also created a serene retreat center in Arkansas called Katog Choling Rit'hröd (Rit'hröd means mountain retreat center). He travels constantly around the United States and other countries, visiting dharma practice groups. He teaches tirelessly and shares his knowledge in order to support his many students in their pursuit of dharma. For his teaching and travel calendar please check the events schedule.

Shoton Festival to Begin in Tibet
For Tibetans, the Shoton Festival is second only to their new year. It's celebrated annually from the end of the sixth month to the beginning of the seventh month according to the Tibetan calendar. It attracts tens of thousands of Buddhists and tourists each year. During the weeklong festival, people gather to drink yogurt, watch Tibetan operas, and pay homage to giant paintings of Buddha. Originating from the 11th century, the festival is now a national intangible cultural heritage.- published: 27 Aug 2013
