★２０１７．４／１放送 山形県内民放各社ニュース 庄内～仙台国際空港線 高速バス 運行開始★ 庄内交通（本社・鶴岡市）などを運営する庄交コーポレーション（國井英夫社長）が商業施設「エスモール」併設のバスターミナルで整備を進めていたリニューアル工事が完成し1日、オープンした。併せて仙台国際空港に乗り入れる新規路線高速バス・仙台国際空港線の運行もこの日からスタート。酒田、鶴岡（エスモール）の両バスターミナルで出発式を行い、地域交通の充実とインバウンド（訪日外国人旅行）の推進に期待がかかる新たな拠点の誕生を祝った。 　庄交グループが描く成長戦略の一環として、東北全体が後れを取るインバウンドの推進と、交流人口の拡大による地域活性化を目指す。仙台国際空港線の開始に続き、今月28日（金）からは新たに京都・大阪と直結する高速夜行バスの運行もスタートさせる。 　エスモールバスターミナルは、バックヤード部分など総面積約540平方メートルを改修。明るく広くなった施設内に、庄内交通のバスチケット窓口と庄交トラベルのカウンターを並べて配置。待合室は全面ガラス張りの風除室として80席ほどに拡大。テークアウト専用のコーヒーショップも入った。整備事業費は約3億円。 　この日は仙台国際空港線の第1便の出発を前に、酒田、リニューアルしたエスモールバスターミナルでそれぞれ出発式。このうち午前7時半から行われたエスモールバスターミナルでは、國井社長が「仙台国際空港は東北を代表するハブ空港。連携しながら地域の成長につなげていきたい」とあいさつ。来賓の仙台国際空港の岩井卓也社長は「陸上交通の充実は大切。出羽三山をはじめとする抜群のロケーションに触れてもらう機会に」と述べた。 　その後、予約客22人を乗せた第1便を前に、関係者がテープカット。出羽三山神社の山伏のほら貝が響く中、仙台国際空港に向けて出発した。 　出発式に引き続き行われた記者会見では、國井社長が「息の長い活力ある路線に育てていきたい」と抱負。岩井社長は「ついに日本海側に（路線が）達した」と歓迎。鶴岡市の榎本政規市長は「鶴岡の成長戦略に欠かせない、裾野の広い観光に大きなツールとなる」と期待を示した。 Esmall Bus Terminal Renewal Open Shoko Corporation (President Hideo Kunii) who operates Shonai Traffic (Headquarters / Tsuruoka City) etc. opened a new renewal work that was underway at the bus terminal with the commercial facility "Esmall" completed and opened on the 1st.
