Rasmus Ristolainen (born October 27, 1994) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League as a prospect of the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League. He was selected by Buffalo in the 1st round (8th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and wears No. 55.[1]

Ristolainen made his NHL debut with the Sabres on the opening night of the 2013–14 season, against the Detroit Red Wings on October 2, 2013. He scored his first NHL goal on October 25, 2013 against Jacob Markstrom of the Florida Panthers. On January 5, 2014, Ristolainen scored the OT winner in the final of the 2014 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships against previously undefeated Sweden, giving Finland the gold medal.
