This video is a collection of lots of footage's i have taken through the years. The technique used in this video is called
MATCH EDITING with lots of jump cuts to make the viewer feel the
difference in the video clips. A match cut, also called a graphic match (or, in the
French term, raccord), is a cut in film editing between either two different objects, two different spaces, or two different compositions in which objects in the two shots graphically match, often helping to establish a strong continuity of action and linking the two shots metaphorically.
As you can see this video is not a planned edit or a planned shoot either, Just random footage's shot in the last decade from different video recording devices.
The song is
Oblivion (feat.
Susanne Sundfør) for the movie Oblivion. This song is specifically chosen for the edit because it gives the feeling the video requires.
All the clips are taken from the many travels across
India and during some scuba diving sessions.
The software's used for this video are
Adobe After Effects and
Adobe Premier. No additional plugins or presets are used , even the color grading is done manually.
This video's purpose is to just show how the match edit is done.
How to edit videos tutorial will be clearly posted in the near future. Have fun and please
