Lillian Dube and Nicole Fuller on breast cancer awareness
Breast cancer is the leading cancer affecting women in South Africa, with 1 in 27 women at risk of being diagnosed in their lifetime.
Early signs can be a lump in a breast or armpit, or discharge from the nipple. Even if none of these symptoms present themselves, regular checkups are advised. A mammogram examination is painless and only takes about ten minutes, depending of course on what state facility you go to.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and tonight, we're joined by survivors actress Lillian Dube and athlete Nicole Fuller.
