To find a Celtic Thunder Show near you http://bit.ly/GZ2eJU To purchase 'Mythology' on CD http://bit.ly/14BRcot To purchase 'Mythology' on DVD http://bit.ly/WxM0cR Celtic Thunder MYTHOLOGY is the latest show from Celtic Thunder. Filmed on location at the Helix Theater in Dublin, it's fitting that Celtic Thunder have chosen to return to their roots in order to film this musical odyssey. The core theme of Mythology is found in the original opening number "Voices", "Voices call from the old days, Voices tell from the past, Ancient laws and ancient old ways to recast." It's the story of the Celtic People, their legends, their culture and their stories. It's the lifeblood of modern day Celtic people everywhere and the influences from our Celtic past, which are still carried in each one of us as part of whom we are and where we come from. Voices, quoted above, is a collaboration between Celtic Thunder Musical Director/Composer David Munro and world-renowned song writer Brendan Graham, who also wrote the international hit "You Raise Me Up". The set of Mythology is big; it's dramatic and imposing. The new and the old combine. Modern catalyst images are projected onto ancient monolithic standing stones, a giant Celtic cross takes center stage and the tempo of the music is strongly echoed in the theatrical and moody lighting. Celtic Thunder Mythology - 'Voices' Voices are calling Voices are calling Voices calling Voices calling you There's a voice that is starting to call us There's a voice that we just can't ignore There's a bell that is ringing to tell us We're in a time and a place like never before There's a time when we're called to be ready It's a time when a sign will appear There's a time when we're called to be steady This is the moment we know, that the moment is here Why is we are here Where is we will go Will we just disappear Answers we don't know Where will the future lead What will the future show How are we to proceed Answers we don't know Why is it we are here Where is it we will go Will we just disappear Answers we don't know Where will the future lead What will our future show How are we to proceed Answers we don't know Voices call from the old days Voices tell from the past Ancient laws and ancient old ways to recast Voices call from the future How will our future last Voices call from the future Is the future past Why is we are here Why is we are here Where is we will go Where is we will go Will we just disappear Will we just disappear Answers we don't know Where will the future lead Where will the future lead What will our future show What will our future show How are we to proceed Answers we don't know, we don't know we don't' know, we don't know Is there a better way Why is it we are here Do we go with the flow Where is we will go What is the price we will pay Will we just disappear Answers we don't know Is there a judgment day Why is we are here Is this the final show Where is it we will go When will the piper pay Answers we don't know Answers we don't know Answers we don't' know The voices calling The voices calling you- published: 22 Aug 2013

To find a Celtic Thunder Show near you http://bit.ly/GZ2eJU To purchase 'Mythology' on CD http://bit.ly/14BRcot To purchase 'Mythology' on DVD http://bit.ly/WxM0cR Celtic Thunder is excited to embark on a 60 city tour of Canada and the United States, with a brand new show "Mythology", which tells the history of the Celtic People, their legends, culture and stories. Mythology recounts the heritage of modern-day Celts and the influences from their Celtic past which make them who they are today. This Celtic heritage is aptly explained in the first line of the opening number "Voices" which was written for Mythology by Musical Director David Munro and songwriter Brendan Graham - "Voices call from the old days, Voices tell from the past, Ancient laws and ancient old ways to recast." Mythology is by far Celtic Thunder's most impressive production to date. All six Celtic Thunder principals, Ryan, George, Keith, Colm, Emmet and Neil feature prominently in Mythology, performing haunting solo numbers such as "Carrickfergus", "The Isle of Inisfree", "Scarlet Ribbons", "Katie", "Carolina Rua" and "Now We Free" and rousing ensembles "The Boys are Back in Town", "The Star of the County Down" and "The Rocky Road to Dublin". There are also great original tracks written especially for Mythology, such as "Voices" and "Hunter's Moon". The finale of Mythology is a powerful and stunning anthem "My Land"by award winning songwriter Brendan Graham, who also wrote the international hit "You Raise Me Up". The set, lighting, images. music and performances in Mythology make this a show not to be missed! If you have not booked your ticket yet http://www.celticthunder.ie/tour there is still excellent seating still available in many venues across Canada and the US, and you can find a Celtic Thunder Show near you with Sound Check Parties http://www.celticthunder.ie/soundcheck2013 still available in many areas. Celtic Thunder Mythology - 'Star of the County Down' In Banbridge Town near the County Down One morning last July, Down a boreen green came a sweet colleen, And she smiled as she passed me by. She looked so sweet, from her two bare feet To the sheen of her nut-brown hair. Such a coaxing elf, sure I shook myself For to see I was really there. From Bantry Bay down to Derry Quay, And from Galway to Dublin Town, No maid I've seen like the brown colleen That I met in the County Down. As she onward sped, sure I scratched my head, And I looked with a feeling rare. And I says, says I, to a passer-by, "Who's the maid with the nut-brown hair?" He smiled at me, and he said, said he, "She's the gem of Ireland's crown, Young Rosie McCann from the banks of the Bann, She's the Star of the County Down." From Bantry Bay down to Derry Quay, And from Galway to Dublin Town, No maid I've seen like the brown colleen That I met in the County Down. I've travelled a bit but was never smit Since my roving career began. But fair and square, I surrendered there To the charms of Rose McCann. I'd a heart to let, and no tenant yet Had I met in a shawl or gown. But in she went, and I asked no rent From the Star of the County Down. From Bantry Bay down to Derry Quay, And from Galway to Dublin Town, No maid I've seen like the brown colleen That I met in the County Down. At the harvest fair, she'll be surely there, So I'll dress in my Sunday clothes, With my shoes shone bright and my hat cocked right For a smile from my nut-brown rose. No pipe I'll smoke, no horse I'll yoke, 'Til my plough is a rust-coloured brown, 'Til a smiling bride by my own fireside Sits the Star of the County Down. From Bantry Bay down to Derry Quay, And from Galway to Dublin Town, No maid I've seen like the brown colleen That I met in the County Down.
