Earlier, Piyu Sarkhel, who began with Raga Vachaspati, ended her recital with a bhajan too: 'Jaoo kahan tyaji sharan tumera'. As for Vachaspati, it has been borrowed from the Carnatic tradition and relatively few compositions are found in this raga, even in the Carnatic oeuvre. One example is Saint Thyagaraja's 'Kanta Judumi' - 'Won't you give me just a sidelong glance', addressed to Lord Rama.
