TWO WORLDS was originally produced as an audio-visual program by the (now defunct) Flick-Reedy Education Enterprises. The program was widely endorsed, and remains an excellent overview of mans struggle between the ideas of Freedom versus Slavery, Capitalism versus Socialism, Marxist-Atheism versus the Judeo-Christian worldview. The forward from the book reads as follows: It has been said that little people talk about people, average people talk about things and events, while really big people talk about ideas. The purpose of TWO WORLDS is to encourage and stimulate you to tthink and talk about ideas. Most men of goodwill share a common goal: The betterment of the spiritual and material welfare of their fellow man. Differences of opinion arise about the methods to be used to attain this goal. TWO WORLDS reviews historically the methods which have been and are being used to make a better world. TWO WORLDS stimulates discussion and inquiry so that you , as a person of goodwill, may arive objectively at your own conclusions. TWO WORLDS was first introduced as a twenty-four part filmstrip / record program. It found immediate acceptance and acclaim among educators, civic organizations, leaders from industry and labor, as well as statesmen of both political parties. To answer many requests, the original script is herein reproduced, complete with the pictures used in the filmstrips. The purpose of the Flick-Reedy Education Enterprises is to promote individal moral responsibility through education. We avoid telling people what they should or should not do, or how they should think. Instead, we encourage study and discussion of the interrelationships of history, plilosophy, social study, economics and civics. We seek to present sufficient data to bring proper focus to the discussion. We invite you to delve further into the necessary historical and statistical data to develop a deeper understanding of the truth, and a keener sense of individual moral responsibility. It is our opinion that individual freedom is important and desirable to every human being that it is earnestly sought after by every human being. Therefore, it seems important that every human being determine for himself the source of individual freedom and reflect on the individual responsibilities which are prerequisites to this freedom. Man has progressed toward individual freedom over the centuries. Sometimes the progress has been slow, to the point of stopping. Sometimes it took giant strides. The last giant step was taken in 1776, right here in America. You may recall one phrase from a document which gave expression to mans hopes and dreams of that time: That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, . . . TWO WORLDS examines mankinds struggle for individual freedom, including the principles and philosophies involved in the struggle. TWO WORLDS is not, in itself, a book of new ideas. It is not the beliefs of only a few. It is a collection of ideas from many individuals and groups. We at Flick-Reedy do not pretend to be the sole originator of the ideas presented herein. In all fairness, we assume responsibility for the contents of this presentation. We are quite sure you will find yourself so absorbed in the subject matter that you will be discussing it with your family, friends and associates. We feel you will be motivated to do further research and reading . . . and thinking. Lets think about it . . . Lets discuss it . . . is the keynote of the approach of this presentation.
