UWS hosted the 18th National Indigenous Tertiary Education Student Games in 2013
The National Indigenous Tertiary Education Student Games (NITESG) are an annual event, hosted around the country by participating universities, which tend to create fond memories for all involved. From Sunday 21 September to Thursday 26 September over 300 Indigenous students from 19 universities from across the country participated in the opening ceremony, basketball tournament, futsal tournament, netball tournament, touch football tournament, and a closing ceremony and awards presentation. The University of Western Australia walked away champions after making it to the grand final of each tournament. UWS came in second overall.- published: 13 Dec 2013
