Qui ? (Who?) is the tenth French studio album by the French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, released in 1963.
It was reissued as a CD on January 03, 1995 by EMI.
Quié is a commune in the Ariège department in southwestern France.
Inhabitants are called Quiétois.
Qui (pronounced as "Kwee") are a rock group formed in 2000 in Los Angeles by Paul Christensen (drums/vocals) and Matt Cronk (guitar/vocals). A combination of punk, noise and experimental rock, they released their first full-length album Baby Kisses in 2003.
In 2006, after performing a number of shows as a guest vocalist, David Yow (ex-Scratch Acid, The Jesus Lizard) joined the band as vocalist, and features on the 2007 album Love's Miracle, released on Mike Patton's label Ipecac Recordings. Most of the songs on this album were written before Yow joined, but were reworked to take account of his vocals. The first release with Yow fully involved came with the 2007 single "Today, Gestation" / "Freeze".
In early 2008, Yow was hospitalized with a punctured lung after a show in Pittsburgh. He has now fully recovered and the band announced European dates that took place during the second half of 2008. As of 2013, David Yow is no longer in the band.
Claire or Clair /ˈklɛər/ is a given name of Latin/Viking origin via French; the name could mean "clear" or "famous". The word still means clear in French in its feminine form.
Its popularity in the United Kingdom peaked during the 1970s and 1980s; in 1974 it was the second most popular female first name and in 1984 was still sixth, but by 1997 it had fallen out of the top 100 after several years of sharply declining popularity.
The name was traditionally considered male, specifically when spelled Clair; however, it is now commonly used as a female name and is usually spelled Claire.
Clair (dates unknown) was an English professional cricketer who made 2 known appearances in major cricket matches from 1797 to 1803.
He was mainly associated with Hampshire.
"Clair" is a popular song by Irish singer Gilbert O'Sullivan and is one of his biggest-selling singles. Written by O'Sullivan and produced by Gordon Mills, it was the number one single in the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in November 1972, number one in Canada on the RPM 100 national singles chart the following January, and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. It was also O'Sullivan's second and last number one hit on the U.S. Easy Listening chart, after "Alone Again (Naturally)".
The song is the love song of an uncle for his young niece, though for the first part of the song, the ambiguous text leads one to think that it is from one adult to another. The brief instrumental introduction is the sound of O'Sullivan whistling, before he comes in. The real Clair was the young daughter of O'Sullivan's producer-manager, Gordon Mills, and his wife, the model Jo Waring. The little girl's giggling is heard at the end of this song. The "Uncle Ray" mentioned in the song is O'Sullivan himself, a reference to his real name of Raymond O'Sullivan. The instrumental break in the middle section is done half a step up from A to B-Flat, before going back to A.
Chasse [ʃas] or chassé [ʃase] (French for "to chase") is a dance step used in many dances in many variations. All variations are triple-step patterns of gliding character in a "step-together-step" pattern. The word came from ballet terminology.
There is a large variety of Chasses across many dances. Variations include:
A slide with both legs bent either forwards, backwards or sideways and meeting in the air straightened. It can be done either in a gallop (like children pretending to ride a horse) or by pushing the first foot along the floor in a plié and springing into the air where both legs meet stretched.
