This took place on January 19, 2013. The event was the 2nd Amendment rally in Brooksville, FL. In this clip I'm being asked for my information and opinions by a photographer. I believe this one was from Tampa Bay Times but I may be mistaken. I was contacted by about 5-6 members of the media, so I may have him mixed up with someone else. I will say the gentleman was respectful and not the least bit patronizing with me. Seemed to be a decent fella in my book. At the very opening at the 0:14 mark you see a rally participant stop to take a pic of my sign. That must have happened at least around 30 times or so. My apologies for the wind in the background combined with the fact I'm soft spoken at times. You'll just have to blame mother nature and a country upbringing for that, I was just caught in the middle. If it's hard for folks to make out, I'm telling the photographer some of the same things I'd told the crew from FOX 13/Tampa Bay earlier in the day: The corporate media has sold us out. They label us "extremists" and "potential terrorist," which in case they haven't figured it out yet... that ain't cool. It's downright slanderous and disgusting what they have done. We won't forget it either. I tell the photographer that all the American people want and need is the TRUTH. The corporate news can hate us all they want... all we ask is that they tell the truth across the board. If they can't at least do that then they are at best, tabloid journalism. I also let him know... I'm not a "white guy." The corporate news just loves to push the poison that 2nd Amendment supporters are all "just a bunch of angry white guys" and that they're bigots and racists. My godparents are white, Mormon, pro-2nd Amendment supporters, great Americans, and the salt of the earth. They have been there for me and my family since I was a pup and they saved me and mine. If not for them I most likely wouldn't be typing these words or experiencing life functions. They mean the world to me. They gave me a rich childhood filled with memories of June bugs, beagles, and Mormon tea. It ticks me off to no end how good folks like them have been treated by the corporate media. Which brings me to the last point I made to the photographer. My sign. Back in the day I used to think the "if it ain't white it ain't right" crowd that worshiped Reagan was the most dangerous cult in America. When Bush was blowing up kids overseas that crowd thought everything was just peachy. I was disgusted with my country. My feelings on that were echoed by The Left. As evil and inhuman as the previous administration was (and is) I think our current tyrant and his blind followers are worse. He's turned the volume way up on the genocide overseas and the erosion of our civil liberties back home. The really sick part about it is that the same folks who were screaming for Bush's blood won't say a damn thing about Obama. They not only let his sin slide... they embrace it. They cherish it and protect it with their silence. That disgusts me. With all that foul stench, now this cheap suit has the nerve to exploit the deaths of children in a mass shooting... and he's trying his best to use their innocent blood to rewrite our Constitution and Bill of Rights? Not on my watch he ain't. Any decent man or woman feels the same way I do, many just don't say it out loud and in the open. Why? Because they fear that cheap suit and his twisted congregation will pull the race card and make their lives a living hell. Fear no evil. To point out that Barack Obama is a tyrant, a murderer of children, a liar, and a thief... is not a racist statement. It is a point of fact. So... if the truth offends, prepare to be offended. No one gets a free pass, not you, not me, no one. Which brings me to the amazing inadequate Ms. Deb Howard. What can I say? If you're watching this clip you've probably already seen her desecration of all things American. Your staff realized their grave error with me, Ms. Howard. Why couldn't you? As far as I'm concerned you're a disgrace to this movement and America herself. It takes a lot for me to take personal notice of someone's karma and to implement code enforcement accordingly... so consider yourself worthy of my special brand of recognition for attrition. You're not the first Floridian of 'standing' to pick the wrong bull... and if you poke around in my background here, you'll find I'm not talking smack... Moving forward. To end my latest diatribe and close on a positive note: At the 2:54 mark a sweet elderly woman interjects and compliments me on my sign... and asks to shake my hand. She hails from New Hampshire and she restores my faith in humanity. What would a gun rally be without sweet ole ladies like this? She is what I refer to as a woman of the highest caliber. To her I give my sincere gratitude and want her to know she's a rock star in my book. Okay, I'm done. For now.
